LED ZEPPELIN legend JIMMY PAGE is releasing an biography with a differenc e - it’s filled with more than 650 photographs charting the guitarist’s l ife and career.
The book, called simply Jimmy Page, will be released on 27 September (1 0), and contain rare and unseen photos of the star, as well as snaps he h as taken.

Oscar winners GLEN HANSARD and MARKETA IRGLOVA have offered to perform at counselling sessions for stunned fans who witnessed the suicide of MICHA EL PICKELS at the duo’s Saratoga, California show last week (19Aug10).
Pickels dived from the roof of the stage at the Mountain Winery and cra shed to the stage at the Swell Season show - close to where Irishman Hans ard was standing.

BEHEMOTH singer/guitarist ADAM ‘NERGAL’ DARSKI is suffering from a life-t hreatening form of leukaemia and is urgently seeking a bone-marrow transp lant.
The Polish heavy metal rockers have cancelled their European and Americ an tours after Darski was hospitalised at Poland’s Gdansk Medical Univers ity Hospital earlier this month (Aug10) with a mystery illness. The group refused to go into details about his ailment.
But now the musician has confirmed he is suffering from cancer and the disease has become so advanced chemotherapy will no longer work, reports Blabbermouth.net.
Darski’s fiancee, Polish singer Doda, has reportedly already offered to donate her bone marrow but the tissue type didn’t match.

U2 have been fined in Spain for playing too loud for too long.
Barcelona officials took offence to the Irish band’s rehearsals for the ir 360=C2=BA Tour in a soccer stadium last year (09) when they ran two ho urs past their allocated time slot - and it’s going to cost the rockers.
According to the Associated Press, Bono and his bandmates have been tol d they must pay a fine of $22,000 (GBP14,600).

TWIN PEAKS alumni KIMMY ROBERTSON, CHARLOTTE STEWART and KATHLEEN WILHOIT E were among the celebrities who celebrated the 20th anniversary of the w eird and wonderful TV drama at the recent Twin Peaks Festival.
The trio returned to North Bend and Snoqualmie in Washington, where the exteriors for the show were shot for the festivities earlier this month (06-08Aug10).
Fans of the show were treated to a screening of director and co-creator David Lynch’s own 35mm copy of Twin Peaks’ pilot episode at the nearby S eattle Art Museum, as well as tours, contests and meet-and-greets with ca st members.

DAN AYKROYD and JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE are to bring YOGI BEAR and his sidekick BOO BOO back to the mainstream via a new 3D movie scheduled for a Christ mas (10) release.
The Blues Brothers star Aykroyd actively went after the role of Yogi af ter hearing news a film was being planned.
He tells USA Today, "I called my agent and said I would love to be a pa rt of this, because it’s a part of me, all those voices." The actor confesses he was a huge fan of the animated bear when he was a child, and director Eric Brevig admits he was stunned by Timberlake’s s pot-on Boo Boo impression.

ANNA PAQUIN and KRISTEN BELL have joined the cast of the star-studded SCR EAM 4.
Dimension Films executives have confirmed to WENN that Paquin and Bell will team up with Scream regulars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette in the fourth installment of the horror franchise.
The cast will also feature Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Marielle Ja ffe, Rory Culkin, Erik Knudsen, Anthony Anderson, Adam Brody, Marley Shel ton, Alison Brie and Mary McDonnell.
Wes Craven is producing and directing the project, which is schedule to open in April (11).

JOHN TRAVOLTA and his pregnant wife KELLY PRESTON are expecting a baby bo y, the stars’ publicist has revealed.
The couple announced it was expecting a third child in May (10), and Pr eston, 47, prepared for the impending birth by gathering with loved ones for a baby shower bash at the Beverly Hills Peninsula hotel in Los Angele s on Friday (13Aug10).

A reality TV star who makes cakes for a living has been arrested for a nu mber of sexual assault charges on a minor.
Cake Boss regular Remy Gonzalez was taken into custody on 18 August (10 ) and is currently being held at Morris County Jail in New Jersey on $300 ,000 (=C2=A3200,000) bail.
Gonzalez is charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, cri minal sexual contact, and endangering the welfare of a child, reports TMZ ..com.
A statement from bosses at TLC, who air the show in America, reads, "We support Buddy… during this very difficult and challenging time." A hearing is set for 7 September (10).

WESLEY SNIPES is fighting to stay out of jail on federal tax charges agai n - the actor has filed documents calling for a new trial, citing "jury m isconduct".
The Blade star lost an appeal against his three-year jail sentence in J uly (10) after the jury at a 2008 trial found him guilty of wilful failur e to file his income tax returns to the U.S. government.
He was due to surrender to authorities to begin his stint behind bars o n 2 September (10) but, on Monday (23Aug10), a U.S. District Court judge granted him a postponement.
And now Snipes is seeking to stay out of prison altogether, claiming hi s defence team received emails from two jurors, who alleged three others "told us (Snipes) was guilty before they even heard the first piece of ev idence", reports TMZ.com.
The actor claims he therefore wasn’t given a fair trial and is demandin g a new one.
He also alleges the verdict was tainted because the jury was not inform ed that his former accountant, Kenneth Starr, who was a key witness again st him, was being investigated for engaging in "criminal activities of co nspiring to evade income taxes" with another client .
Snipes’ lawyer is arguing the jury should have known about Starr’s inve stigation because then they wouldn’t have believed his testimony against the actor.
A new date for Snipes’ surrender will not be set until several pending motions in the case are ruled on.

A man who trespassed onto SYLVESTER STALLONE’s Los Angeles estate was arr ested by cops on Tuesday (24Aug10).
The unnamed 22 year old was hoping to meet his hero after scaling the R ambo star’s gates.
Police were called to the property after security guards performed a ci tizen’s arrest on the man, who was taken into custody on a misdemeanour t respassing charge.
He is still in custody, being held on $2,500 (=C2=A31,667) bail, report s TMZ.com.
Stallone was not at home when the arrest was made.

SEAN PENN has fired up his war of words with WYCLEF JEAN after learning o f the hip-hop star’s plans to contest a decision that will keep him from running for president of his native Haiti.
The former Fugees star first irked Penn, who has actively been part of the relief effort in the earthquake-ravaged nation throughout the past si x months, when he first announced his plans to become the country’s next leader earlier this month (Aug10).
The Oscar winner and activist criticised Wyclef’s apparent absence from his homeland in the wake of the devastating earthquake during a recent a ppearance on CNN news show Larry King Live. And now Penn has written a co mmentary about the hip-hop star’s bid for the presidency online after lea rning the Gone ‘Til November hitmaker is fighting a decision by Haiti ele ctoral officials that rules him ineligible for high political office.
In the piece, published by TheHuffingtonPost.com, Penn writes, "(I am) someone who has spent most of the last six months following the devastati ng earthquake, side by side in that country (Haiti), with so many others, doing whatever we could to lend a hand. I have never met Wyclef Jean, an d all I really know of him on any personal level has come through the fon d comments of a few mutual friends.
"Wyclef Jean gave indispensable world attention to Haiti’s incredible m isfortune (but) I was there for those 6 months after the earthquake and s o many of us on the ground wondered where he was when that kind of attent ion was so necessary and absent, and why he was NOT helping to keep this desperate situation in the news.
"None among us felt or expressed anger toward it, but rather a universa l sadness for his silence, as he is America’s most admired cultural link to Haiti. As the six-month Anniversary (of the earthquake) approached, it triggered the return of the world media, and of Wyclef Jean to Haiti." He insists Jean is the wrong celebrity to be running for office in Hait i, adding, "It’s clear that Mr. Jean can have an important place in drawi ng attention to Haiti’s needs. However, when New York press agents circle wagons of ignorance and sell as deep insight the advertisement of that w hich charms them about a client, the lives and needs of the Haitian peopl e are sidelined." And Penn then attacks Jean for comments the singer/songwriter made rega rding his opposition to the former Fugees star’s presidential bid.
The actor adds, "When he chose to attempt to discredit me, claiming… that my time in Haiti had been restricted to ‘one particular area’, that area he was referring to is the 55,000 person IDP (Internally Displaced P erson) Camp that I and my organization were tasked to manage by the Inter national Office of Migration…
"Jean said the following: "I would like to tell Sean Penn I do not reac t on emotions when it comes to the Haitian people. I do not have to sacri fice my life and live inside of a tent to prove that I am for the Haitian people." No, he doesn’t have to live in a tent. But it would be nice if he visited once and awhile." Penn concludes, "These elections are crucial, and I have no part in the m. Neither should Mr. Jean."

MCFLY rocker DANNY JONES accidentally caused $15,000 (GBP10,000) to a rad io studio, after spilling coffee onto a mixing deck.

Troubled singer FANTASIA BARRINO has publicly thanked a nurse for bringin g her back from the brink of despair and giving her the strength to get o n with her life after a recent suicide attempt.
The American Idol winner-turned-Broadway star slipped into unconsciousn ess after purposely taking a handful of aspirin and sleeping pills earlie r this month (Aug10) in an attempt to "end it all" after months of family and romantic drama.
She was hospitalised and doctors managed to save her life.
Barrino admits she was disappointed when she woke up and realised she w asn’t dead.
In a candid new interview for VH1’s Behind The Music documentary series , she says, "(I was like), ‘It didn’t work, I’m still here in this hellho le; still here with all this drama going on.’" But a nurse’s tough talk made the singer realise she had to get on with her life.
She adds, "She was a blessing into my life because she didn’t tell me w hat I wanted to hear, she told me what I needed to hear and she looked at me and said, ‘You gotta get up and you gotta get outta here, because you haven’t fulfilled your destiny."
