It was horrible and it caused a massive American tour to ge t cancelled and we haven’t been able to play to the fans there. I am desp erate to get over there. It’s one of my main priorities."

Former KISS star PETER CRISS is putting his breast cancer battle behind h im by taking part in a charity walk to raise money for the fight against the disease.
The veteran rocker was diagnosed with the illness in 2008 and subsequen tly spoke of his embarrassment at contracting a condition more commonly a ssociated with women.
Criss has vowed to help fight the stigma surrounding male breast cancer and is throwing his support behind the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign.
The 64 year old will take part in a charity walk in New Jersey on 17 Oc tober (10) and is urging fans to get involved.
He says, "On October 17th, I will be walking for the American Cancer So ciety, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey. MICHAEL JACKSON’s two eldest children have attended school for the first time.
The superstar’s three kids - Prince, 13, Paris, 12, and eight-year-old Blanket - were tutored at home under the instruction of the singer, who w as determined to keep his children out of the public eye.
After Jackson’s death last year (09), the youngsters were placed in the custody of their grandmother Katherine, who announced plans to send them to public school and allow them to mix with their peers.
And Katherine has followed through with her promise - Prince and Paris have enrolled at an exclusive school in California, where previous studen ts include Matthew Perry, Nicole Richie and Laura Dern.
The pair enjoyed their first day at The Buckley School in the San Ferna ndo Valley on Wednesday (25Aug10), according to TMZ.com.
Blanket will reportedly remain at home with a private tutor until he is considered ready to face public school.

BOB GELDOF is in mourning following the death of his beloved father on Th ursday morning (26Aug10).
The veteran rocker’s dad, Bob, Snr., passed away at a hospital in Dubli n, Ireland at the age of 96 after a short illness.
A death notice, posted in Friday’s (27Aug10) Irish Times described Bob, Snr. as "an exceptional loving man".
The funeral will be held in Dublin next Tuesday (31Aug10) ahead of a bu rial at the city’s Deansgrange Cemetery.
The former Boomtown Rats star recently spoke about his father’s friends hip with U2 rocker Bono, revealing the pair bonded over their shared back injuries.

Kind-hearted DOUGRAY SCOTT thrilled terminally ill youngsters at a hospic e in his native Scotland this week (beg23Aug10) by dropping in for a surp rise visit.
The actor was given a guided tour of Rachel House in Kinross, part of t he Children’s Hospice Association Scotland medical centres which provide respite care for dying kids.

PAMELA ANDERSON has won a restraining order against an internet design co mpany following a legal battle over her official website.
The former Baywatch star claims she hired experts at CMAEON to design h er site in 2009, but fired the firm when she discovered a vital tool, whi ch allowed customers to purchase Anderson-branded goods, was not working.
The lawsuit, filed in Indiana and obtained by TMZ.com, goes on to claim she hired another company to take over work on the website, but CMAEON d esigners refused to relinquish control.
Anderson was granted a restraining order on Thursday (26Aug10), which f orces CMAEON to stop operating the site, which will be shut down until th e other company hired by the actress can take over.

LINDSAY LOHAN has swapped her orange prison jumpsuit for a more stylish r ole as a fashion reporter - the troubled actress has written a guest colu mn for hip arts publication BlackBook magazine.
The Mean Girls star was jailed last month (Jul10) for violating her pro bation relating to a 2007 DUI arrest and after two weeks behind bars, she went straight to court-ordered rehab.

The widower of tragic British reality TV star JADE GOODY considered takin g his own life after he was accused of rape last year (09).
Jack Tweed, who married Goody a month before she lost her battle with c ancer in March 2009, served two jail sentences during his relationship wi th the star after he was convicted of attacking a teenager with a golf cl ub in 2006 and assaulting a taxi driver in 2008.
Tweed’s legal troubles spiralled again last September (09) when he was arrested and charged with raping a teenage girl at a party.
The 23 year old went on trial in April (10) and was cleared of the char ge, but Tweed admits the accusation took a toll on his mental health and at his lowest point, he considered killing himself.
He tells Britain’s The Sun, "I was proved innocent. Because of my behav iour in the past I knew everyone would assume I was guilty, even though I wasn’t, and I knew I had let Jade down.
"I thought about hanging myself but I was too much of a coward. I’m not brave like Jade was. I have a lot of regrets but I am lucky that the tru th finally came out and I was acquitted. Now I just want a chance to mend my ways…"

Former BLOSSOM star JOEY LAWRENCE was reportedly injured on the set of hi s new TV show after he was hit in the eye with a script.
The 34 year old is currently working on Melissa & Joey with Melissa Joa n Hart, but rehearsals came to an abrupt halt on Thursday (26Aug10) when another actor accidentally poked him in the eye.
Lawrence sought immediate medical treatment and was diagnosed with a ri pped cornea, according to TMZ.com.
The actor is said to be recovering well and will be back at work in the next few days.

Director MATTHEW VAUGHN has devised an ambitious plan to overhaul the Bri tish movie industry after confessing he suggested politicians should shut down the UK Film Council.
The Stardust moviemaker has reportedly admitted to Britain’s Daily Mail that he is the man behind the decision to close the organisation, a move which has sparked protests from stars including James McAvoy and Emily B lunt.
Now Vaughn is involved in formulating a replacement body - and he wants producers of blockbuster movies shot in Britain to hand a share of the p rofits to the government to revitalise the ailing industry.
Explaining a major flaw of the current set-up, Vaughn tells the Daily M ail: "We have the two biggest franchises of all time: Harry Potter and Ja mes Bond. You can’t get more British product than Potter and Bond. Shot i n England. Made by the British. But all the money goes back to America." LINDSAY LOHAN is taking tips from BRITNEY SPEARS by hiring the pop star’s accountant to get her finances back on track, according to a U.S. report ..
The Mean Girls star has endured a problematic few months, which has see n her jailed for probation violation stemming from a 2007 DUI arrest and sent to court-ordered rehab.
Lohan has also been hit with other legal issues including a lawsuit fro m a Los Angeles boutique over an allegedly unpaid bill, which she settled this month (Aug10), and an expensive court action in which she is suing an advertising firm over claims they parodied her in a recent promo.
It has now been revealed the actress has resolved to sort out her finan ces by hiring Tennessee businesswoman Lou Taylor to take control of her m oney issues, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.
Taylor previously helped Spears straighten out her own financial muddle and now she is working with Lohan to land her a series of lucrative deal s.
A source tells Page Six, "Lou has been working on fashion deals for Lin dsay including the Marc Ecko ads and a deal with a Russian fashion compan y."

TRANSFORMERS director MICHAEL BAY is demanding "a sincere public apology" from two men who have filed suit over allegations a bodyguard working fo r the star beat them in a violent incident in 2008.
The moviemaker has been left fuming after Joshua Stewart and Paul Klimc zak claimed a security guard employed by Bay pistol-whipped them outside a Hollywood nightclub.
Bay’s attorney, Marty Singer, has blasted the allegations, insisting th e director has never employed a personal bodyguard and wasn’t even at the club at the time of the incident.
Singer has now sent a legal letter to the pair demanding they dismiss t heir claim and apologise for the "absurd lawsuit".
An excerpt from the letter, obtained by TMZ.com, reads, "The claims ass erted against Mr. Bay are false and fabricated. We demand immediate dismi ssal… of the complaint against Mr. Bay, as well as a sincere public apo logy…
"This is a textbook case of malicious prosecution. It is readily appare nt that your clients’ outlandish claims against Mr. Bay have no factual o r legal basis."

TAYLOR SWIFT is giving back to kids in the Tennessee town where she went to school - the singer has donated a generous $100,000 (=C2=A366,600) che que to build a new playground.
Swift handed over the cash to officials in the hope they could use it t o benefit those who have been struggling in the wake of the 2010 floods w hich swept through Hendersonville.
But her business manager has since suggested the funds will go toward u pdating the Kids Kingdom play area, as well as the city’s volleyball cour ts, according to CMT.com.

The organisers of this weekend’s (28-29Aug10) Reading Festival in England have recruited a team of flood experts to make sure heavy rain doesn’t t urn the site into a mud bath.
Promoters have called in the Environment Agency to protect the festival grounds after a week (beg23Aug10) of heavy downpours.
Festival boss Melvin Benn says, "I am extremely grateful to them. We ha ve obviously experienced heavy rainfall over the past couple of days but the rest of the weekend is looking good."

Hip-hop star MOS DEF is facing a lawsuit from concert promoters who alleg e he cancelled a show just 24 hours before his scheduled slot.
The rapper was due to perform at the Kool Haus in Toronto, Canada on 24 February (10), according to papers filed at Los Angeles County Superior Court on Thursday (26Aug10).
But Mos Def, real name Dante Smith, allegedly pulled out of the gig jus t one day before, despite taking a $12,500 (=C2=A38,333) deposit on the c ondition he would perform.
REMG Entertainment bosses claim he failed to return the money and they lost another $45,000 (=C2=A330,000) in "lost customers, sales, and goodwi ll", reports TMZ.com.
