GALLAGHER DRUMS FOR WELLER
Former OASIS star NOEL GALLAGHER is back in the studio as pal PAUL WELLER ’s drummer.
The rocker has swapped his guitar for sticks for sessions with Weller - and the former Style Council star is more than a little impressed with h is new percussionist.
Weller tells Absolute Radio, "I haven’t hired him, he came free… He’s a great drummer. He always keeps it fat and funky, you know, that’s how we like it.
"He’s a good all-rounder; people don’t realise what a good musician he is. He can plays keys, bass, all sorts really, harmonica, electric kettle , all sorts." But he insists working with the older Gallagher brother doesn’t mean he has less love for singer Liam - the warring siblings fell out when Noel quit Oasis last year (09).
Weller adds, "I’d definitely be up for collaborating with Liam and with Noel. I love them both equally and think they’re both extremely talented in their own ways."
