GELDOF’S FATHER DIES
BOB GELDOF is in mourning following the death of his beloved father on Th ursday morning (26Aug10).
The veteran rocker’s dad, Bob, Snr., passed away at a hospital in Dubli n, Ireland at the age of 96 after a short illness.
A death notice, posted in Friday’s (27Aug10) Irish Times described Bob, Snr. as "an exceptional loving man".
The funeral will be held in Dublin next Tuesday (31Aug10) ahead of a bu rial at the city’s Deansgrange Cemetery.
The former Boomtown Rats star recently spoke about his father’s friends hip with U2 rocker Bono, revealing the pair bonded over their shared back injuries.
