POLICE CALLED TO SHUT DOWN RONSON’S DJ SET
A charity party planner has leaped to the defense of DJ SAMANTHA RONSON a fter police were called to shut down a recent benefit, amid complaints sh e was playing loud and "inappropriate" music.
Ronson was on the turntables at the Brazilian Sunflowers event in South ampton, New York on Saturday (22Aug10) when the cops were called and she was ordered to shut down.
One partygoer tells the New York Post an upset reveller called the poli ce because he felt her techno music set list didn’t match the mood of the Brazilian bossa nova-themed event.
Guest Neil Wolfson explains, "The crowd was primed for this mellow musi c and she came on and started playing techno, inappropriate for the crowd .." But a party organiser has brushed off the controversy, insisting cops a llowed the event to continue after realising the complaint was from an un happy reveller.
