Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:27 pm

Representatives for ANSEL ADAMS are suing a man who has allegedly been se lling prints he claims were taken by the legendary photographer.
Officials at the Ansel Adams Publishing Rights Trust launched the lawsu it in the U.S. in an attempt to ban Rick Norsigian from selling images th ey do not endorse.
Norsigian claims to have paid just $45 (=C2=A330) for the negatives at a garage sale in California back in 2000, while his lawyers maintain expe rts have verified their authenticity and valued them at $200 million (=C2 =A3133 million).
Estate bosses are demanding any profits made from sales, alleging trade mark infringement, false advertising and trademark dilution, among other claims.
Bill Turnage, managing director of Ansel Adams Publishing Rights Trust, says, "I’m sure Ansel never would’ve imagined a scam on this scale. I ne ver thought it would come to this, but we have to try to do our duty to p rotect his work and reputation." But Norsigian’s lawyer Arnold Peter is adamant the case has "no merit", adding: "We are disappointed that the Ansel Adams Publishing Rights Trus t has decided to resort to the courts in order to resolve what, in our vi ew, is a debate that should be resolved by art and forensic experts."
