LORD OF THE RINGS’ BOYD IS BROKE
The LORD OF THE RINGS film trilogy did little to boost BILLY BOYD’s bank balance - the actor insists he’s completely broke.
The Scottish star played lovable Hobbit Peregrin ‘Pippin’ Took in the h it movies, which generated a massive $2.7 billion in profits - but Boyd a dmits he is still a struggling actor.
He says, "I don’t have any money. We were unknown actors. We did it for peanuts (very little money), and for food." And the 41 year old has begun to accept that shooting the trilogy in Ne w Zealand could be the peak of his career, adding: "Once you get in your head that you’re not going to do anything bigger, you just do things that you enjoy."
