MCDONALD, FAGEN & SCAGGS REFORM DOO-WOP SUPERGROUP
DOOBIE BROTHERS singer MICHAEL MCDONALD, BOZ SCAGGS and STEELY DAN’s DONA LD FAGEN have reformed doo-wop supergroup DUKES OF SEPTEMBER.
The trio last played together in 1993 as part of the New York Rock and Soul Revue, and now they’ve joined forces once again for a U.S. tour.
The singers will play hits from their own back catalogues when they hit the road with members of Steely Dan’s touring group, and Scaggs admits i t wasn’t tough getting the guys back together once their schedules lined up.
