DOUGLAS’ HEALTH SCARE WON’T DELAY WALL STREET SEQUEL

Movie bosses behind the upcoming WALL STREET sequel have confirmed MICHAE L DOUGLAS’ cancer scare won’t delay the opening of the movie - and the ac tor is adamant he will be well enough to carry out his promotional duties as planned.
The 65 year old is preparing to undergo eight weeks of radiation and ch emotherapy treatment after doctors discovered a tumour in his throat.
The news sparked fears the veteran star’s illness would affect the upco ming release of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, which is due to hit cine mas on 24 September (10).
But a representative for Twentieth Century Fox, the movie studio behind Oliver Stone’s follow-up, has confirmed the release date will stay the s ame and Douglas is expected to walk the red carpet when the movie premier es, according to People.com.
After announcing news of his cancer earlier this week (beg16Aug10), Dou glas said in a statement he is "very optimistic" of making a full recover y.
