BULLET GIFT CAUSED LEWIS GRIEF AT FINNISH CUSTOMS
Actress-turned-rocker JULIETTE LEWIS was caught out by a fan’s strange bu llet gift as she passed through customs in Finland on a recent tour of Eu rope.
The Natural Born Killers star was confronted by a devotee backstage at a gig in Scotland and handed the large metal object.
Thinking nothing of the unusual gift, Lewis placed it in a box with all the other presents she gets from fans - and promptly forgot all about it ..
Picking up the story, she recalls, "I go through customs in Finland… and in the X-ray machine there’s a big old bullet. They (customs officers ) want to know where the gun is and they quarantine me.
"We didn’t speak the same language and I was like, ‘No, you don’t under stand.’" Lewis tried to explain it was just a gift from a fan, but the officials had no idea what she was talking about.
She adds, "They took it (bullet) from me."
