GLEE beauty DIANNA AGRON has reportedly found love with the ex-boyfriend of GOSSIP GIRL star LEIGHTON MEESTER.
The actress, who plays cheerleader Quinn Fabray in the musical series, is allegedly dating Sebastian Stan, whose romance with his Gossip Girl co -star Meester recently came to an end.
But the pair has decided to just "have fun" and take their relationship slowly, according to reports.
A source tells Life & Style magazine, "They’ve been going out on dates in NYC (New York City). It started as just a hook-up, but now they’re dat ing.
"Sebastian doesn’t want to make the same mistakes as with Leighton. She was so public, he’s more focused on his own career right now and wants t o just have fun with Dianna without it being this big thing."

CRACKNELL SUFFERS BRAIN DAMAGE

Olympian-turned-TV adventurer JAMES CRACKNELL has suffered brain damage a fter fracturing his skull in a cycling accident last week (ends25Jul10), according to his wife.
The British rower was cycling through Arizona filming a new show for th e Discovery Channel when he was involved in a collision with a truck.
He is currently semi-conscious in a neuro-trauma ward and will need six months to recover from his injuries, according to his wife Beverly Turne r.
She tells Britain’s Daily Telegraph, "I’d spent years worrying that Jam es would plunge down a crevasse in some remote wilderness, but it was a r oad traffic accident in the U.S. that has left him with a fractured skull and damage to his brain." Turner reveals Cracknell has had bleeding and swelling on his brain, wh ich could cause personality and motivation issues - but she insists his p rognosis is good.

WAHLBERG STOPPED BY COPS

Hollywood actor MARK WAHLBERG was stopped by police for allegedly running a stop sign as he was driving through Los Angeles.
The Planet of the Apes star’s luxury Bentley car was pulled over by a L os Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officer on suspicion of the minor mot oring offence.
Wahlberg was reportedly on his way to church when he was stopped, accor ding to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.
It is not known whether the actor was handed a traffic ticket for the a lleged violation.

MACFARLANE’S MOTHER DIES

FAMILY GUY creator SETH MACFARLANE is in mourning following the death of his mother.
The funnyman’s mum, Ann Perry MacFarlane, passed away at the age of 63 after losing her battle with cancer, according to newsman Larry King.
The TV host paid tribute to Ann during his Larry King Live show on Wedn esday night (28Jul10) and sent his condolences to the cartoon boss.
He also asked viewers to donate to Ann’s favourite animal charities in her memory.
King said, "We would like to acknowledge the death of Ann Perry MacFarl ane. She’s the mother of our friend, Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane. Perry was only 63, (she) passed away (after) a valiant battle with cancer ….
"I spoke to her on the phone when Seth was on the show in May, and I co uld see why her friends called her a bright light who sparkled… Perry t ouched many who celebrated her life. Those who would like to honour her c an donate to the ASPCA or the Humane Society in her name.
"To her children, Seth and Rachel, and her husband, Ron, we know your l ives are not the same without Perry in them. We offer our prayers and sen d our condolences to you.
"Seth MacFarlane is a great guy and had a great mother. I really loved talking with her. Miss you, Perry."

ZHANG ZIYI TO STAR AS MULAN

ZHANG ZIYI is bringing Disney heroine MULAN to life in a new, live-action adaptation of the ancient Chinese legend, according to reports.
The actress, who will also produce the film, has been leading the drive to secure funding and is said to have personally approached bosses at Di sney, who agreed to invest $100 million (=C2=A367 million) in the project ..
Zhang will take on the title role of the brave female warrior, who disg uises herself as a man to join an all-male army in her elderly father’s p lace to fight off an invasion of her homeland.
The Mask director Chuck Russell has come on board to helm the English-l anguage 3D film, which follows Disney’s 1998 animated version.

BIRKHEAD TO TESTIFY ABOUT SMITH’S DRUG USE?

ANNA NICOLE SMITH’s ex-lover LARRY BIRKHEAD is to take the stand to tell a court he knew the model was addicted to drugs for years before her demi se in 2007, according to a new report.
Birkhead is helping lawyers for the State of California in their case a gainst the former Playboy beauty’s doctors, who are accused of illegally supplying her with prescription pills before her death from an accidental overdose in February 2007.
According to legal documents filed by prosecutors, Birkhead has "person al knowledge of Anna Nicole Smith’s drug activities, gleaned from years o f personal observation".
They add that Birkhead is convinced Smith was an "addict" because he "p ersonally observed her using controlled substances in an uncontrolled way over a long period of time".
But prosecutors are facing a challenge from attorneys defending the doc tors, who claim Birkhead isn’t "qualified" to determine whether Smith met the legal criteria of a drug addict, reports TMZ.com.
Birkhead is the father of Smith’s three-year-old daughter, Dannielynn.

FEMALE DIRECTORS LEAD AFI AWARDS

Female directors look set to dominate this year’s (10) Australian Film In stitute (AFI) awards - a record number of women have scored nominations f or the coveted best film prize.
Eight of the 19 movies in contention for the top feature film honour ha ve been made by female directors, more than in any other year, and pictur es on the shortlist include Jane Campion’s Bright Star, Rachel Perkins’ A boriginal musical Bran Nue Dae, and Daina Reid’s romantic comedy, I Love You Too.
Other leading nominees include Peter Spierig’s vampire movie Daybreaker s, and father-and-son tale The Boys Are Back, directed by Scott Hicks.
AFI Chief Executive Damian Trewhella insists Kathryn Bigelow’s historic Best Director win at the 2010 Oscars has paved the way for strong female representation in the film industry.
He says, "Rachel Perkins has got the hit of the year on her hands thus far with Bran Nue Dae, and Jane Campion has got a lot of recognition glob ally for Bright Star. In an international industry where women are still significantly under-represented, Australia is heading in the right direct ion." AFI-nominated directed Perkins adds, "We’ve had an industry that’s real ly worked to find a place for women. We’re far more advanced than the ind ustry in the States in that regard. I think the arts is pretty progressiv e in that way." The 2010 AFI awards will be handed out in Melbourne, Australia in Decem ber (10).

CLOONEY’S GIRLFRIEND CANALIS TANGLED IN COURT CASE

GEORGE CLOONEY’s girlfriend is embroiled in a scandal after a former pal alleged to have seen her taking drugs at a nightclub in Italy.
French model Karima Menad told the court she snorted cocaine with Elisa betta Canalis in 2007 at Milan hotspot The Club, which was shut down earl ier this week (26Jul10) following a drugs and prostitution bust. Menad wo rked at The Club in 2007 and 2008.
According to court documents obtained by Italy’s Corriere della Sera ne wspaper, Menad testified in 2008, "I remember taking cocaine with Elisabe tta Canalis and two others." Five people were arrested and The Club and nearby venue Hollywood were both shut down on Monday (26Jul10).
The nightclubs’ owners are reportedly under investigation over allegati ons they provided models for wealthy customers to have sex with off the p remises.
Canalis, 31, has been dating the Ocean’s Eleven star since last year (0 9).

A spokesperson for the Dawson’s Creek star was forced to dismiss pregna ncy rumours earlier this year (10) after Holmes was spotted leaving a doc tor’s office with what appeared to be a bloated stomach.
And the rep has spoken out again following recent tabloid reports which suggested the star was expecting a little brother or sister for the coup le’s four-year-old daughter Suri after she was seen patting her stomach o n the set of her new TV miniseries The Kennedys.

British pop star KIMBERLEY WALSH has hit back at reports she boasted abou t only sleeping with two men - insisting her words were taken out of cont ext.
The Girls Aloud beauty hit the headlines in the U.K. earlier this month (Jul10) after revealing in her column for OK! magazine that she had only ever been with two lovers.
But the singer insists she meant she had only ever been in two serious relationships, and states she would never reveal how many men she had sle pt with.
In her column for the publications, she writes, "I was also in the news a lot last week after a story broke saying that I’ve only slept with two people. This came from an interview where I said I’ve only had two longt erm relationships. I never said anything about how many people I’d slept with! LADY GAGA’s fitness trainer knew he had a challenge on his hands when he first met his quirky client - the pop star was playing basketball in high heels.
The Poker Face superstar approached celebrity fitness guru Harley Paste rnak last year (09) to tone up her body in preparation for her exhausting The Monster Ball tour.
But he got a shock when he turned up to train the kooky singer and saw she was wearing a very unsuitable outfit for the gym.
He tells Britain’s Heat magazine, "She came to me because she wanted to find a lifestyle that was healthy and something she could handle while s he was on the road. I’ll never forget the time I looked out of office doo r and there was was. She was dressed in a pair of 12-inch heeled boots, s hooting basketball hoops." Pasternak also learned that Gaga has a sweet tooth - so he created a li ne of healthy snacks to mail to the star while she travels the world.
He adds, "She loves potato chips and peanut butter so I was inspired to create a line of potato chips and peanut butter bars that we ship to her wherever she goes."

ANDRE ‘UNDER INVESTIGATION OVER TV PLUG COMPLAINT’

Australian pop star PETER ANDRE is facing an investigation from Britain’s broadcasting standards watchdog after a viewer accused him of promoting a hotel and airline on his U.K. reality show, according to reports.
In an episode of his TV series Peter Andre: The Next Chapter, the Myste rious Girl hitmaker jets off to a luxury hotel in the United Arab Emirate s with his two children.
However, a viewer complained to officials at Ofcom, claiming the singer was purposely plugging the vacation destination in Dubai and that his yo ung daughter was advertising the Emirates airline by wearing a replica ho stess outfit.
According to Britain’s The Sun, the regulatory body is investigating. A rep for the network tells the publication that the references were "not promotional".
The U.K. has strict rules about product placement and plugging on TV as ide from advertising.

BUTLER PRAISES BONO FOR ‘ENGAGING’ WITH BUSH

ARCADE FIRE frontman WIN BUTLER has praised U2 rocker BONO for "engaging" with GEORGE W. BUSH over the plight of AIDS sufferers in Africa - despit e the former U.S. president’s unpopularity.
The Irish activist met with Bush in 2003 and 2005 to urge the then-Amer ican leader to increase aid donations for the impoverished nation, citing epidemic numbers of deaths from AIDS, malaria and malnutrition.
The move left Bono open for criticism due to his fellow campaigners’ un favourable opinions of Bush.
But fellow fundraiser Butler was impressed with the way Bono managed to increase America’s aid contributions.
He tells NME: "As much as people slag (criticise) Bono, I will forever give him credit for engaging with George W. Bush when he was president. E ven though it was a deeply unpopular move, even in his own band.
"The HIV medications in Africa, every aspect of the U.S. foreign policy - it was a hell of a lot more than any president before had done.
"Bono was engaged in the work even though the situation wasn’t ideal. T hat’s not my path, but I will never fault someone for trying to be engage d in the world."

SEVEN JACKSON DOCTORS WILL NOT FACE CHARGES

California investigators have confirmed seven doctors who treated MICHAEL JACKSON will not face charges over the singer’s death.
The state’s Attorney General Jerry Brown ordered his Narcotic Enforceme nt team to look into prescriptions that had been handed out to the late T hriller hitmaker in a bid to find physicians who may have played a part i n the singer’s demise.
According to reports, Jackson visited several doctors and used a number of aliases before his death, following a cardiac arrest in June 2009.
Seven doctors were investigated by the state but the attorney general’s spokeswoman Christine Gasparac has confirmed that no charges will be bro ught against them.
However, one of the unnamed medics has been referred to the California Medical Board for prescribing drugs to a Jackson alias and could face dis ciplinary action.
Bosses at the federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) have also dropped a n investigation into the actions of the doctors.
According to the Associated Press, Dr. Conrad Murray - who stands accus ed of administering the singer with the powerful anaesthetic Propofol whi ch led to his death - was not one of the seven doctors under investigatio n. Murray has pleaded not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter.

LOHAN PASSING JAIL TIME WRITING AND EATING

LINDSAY LOHAN is passing her time behind bars writing, "creating art" and eating sweet snacks, according to her lawyer.
The Mean Girls star is currently incarcerated at the Century Regional D etention Facility in Lynwood, California, where she is serving part of a 90-day jail sentence for violating her probation relating to a 2007 DUI a rrest.
And even though she is expected to be released as early as Sunday (01Au g10), Lohan isn’t idly wasting her time - her attorney Shawn Chapman Holl ey reveals the actress is being creative behind bars.
Holley says, "She’s good. She’s eating some (licorice candy) Twizzlers.
She looks gorgeous. She’s writing a lot. She’s creating art. She’s a bea utiful, talented, creative woman, and she’s going to come out and surpris e you all!"
