RATT frontman STEPHEN PEARCY is preparing to return to the stage on Wedne sday (21Jul10) to resume the band’s world tour, six weeks after undergoin g hernia surgery.
Ratt was forced to cancel the European leg of its World Infestation tou r with German band Scorpions while the rocker underwent the operation las t month (Jun10).
But Pearcy has made a full recovery, and he’s eager to get back on the road.
He tells Blabbermouth.net, "Despite the forced break with my surgery, I ‘m feeling better and being out here on tour with the Scorpions is rehabi litating, to say the least. We’re doing different songs from (the album) Infestation and they are going over great! We’re mixing up our set and ki cking some a**. It’s a Scorpion sting with some Ratt ‘n’ Roll!" The bands are scheduled to kick off the North American leg of the tour with a show in Grand Prairie, Texas on 21 July (10).

Pop star JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE can add director to his resume - the singer/ac tor has stepped behind the camera to shoot a new advertisement for his te quila brand.
The SexyBack hitmaker launched 901 Tequila last year (09) and he recent ly took charge of the TV campaign for the alcoholic drink.
And Timberlake didn’t have to look far to cast actors for the Los Angel es-based shoot - he hired his girlfriend Jessica Biel’s brother, also nam ed Justin, to appear as an extra in a party scene.
Justin Biel works alongside Timberlake at the tequila company, accordin g to Eonline.com blogger Marc Malkin.

Singer FRANKIE VALLI has been slapped with a countersuit from former cast members of Broadway hit JERSEY BOYS after he accused the actors of copyr ight infringement for performing THE FOUR SEASONS’ songs on tour.
Valli, the frontman of The Four Seasons, took legal action against form er Jersey Boys stars Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard an d J. Robert Spencer in April (10), claiming they were illegally using ele ments of the band’s musical in their own show The Boys in Concert.
His bandmate Robert Gaudio and playwrights Marshall Brickman and Rick E lice were also named as plaintiffs in Valli’s court papers, which alleged The Boys in Concert stole songs, stage elements and copyrighted logos to trick ticketholders into thinking the touring group was an "authorised r oad company" of the long-running theatre production.
Valli demanded $150,000 (=C2=A3100,000) compensation for each of the 10 songs performed in The Boys in Concert show, in addition to all of its p rofits and damages for unfair competition and copyright infringement.
But the four actors are ready to challenge the accusations in court and have filed a countersuit, insisting they are entitled to sing the Four S easons tracks as part of a medley of hits from the same era.
The group’s attorney, Howard Weller, says, "These four incredibly talen ted men have earned the legal right, through years of toil and artistic e ffort, to tell audiences of the historically accurate fact that they were stars in Jersey Boys.
"They sing songs from the 1960s that include some Four Seasons hits, an d that doesn’t duplicate Jersey Boys anymore than John Coltrane’s renditi on of My Favorite Things copied The Sound of Music." The former Jersey Boys stars claim Valli’s team also intimidated the se ssion musicians on The Boys In Concert tour and disrupted the quartet’s b usiness with gig promoters. They are countersuing for at least $1 million (=C2=A3666,670) in damages for tortuous interference, according to the H ollywood Reporter.

Rapper/actor ICE-T has been arrested in New York for allegedly driving on a suspended license.
The star’s car was pulled over by cops on Tuesday morning (20Jul10) aft er he and his wife Coco were spotted travelling without wearing their sea t belts.
Ice-T, real name Tracy Marrow, was taken into custody and booked at a p olice station in Chelsea, Manhattan and was released shortly afterwards, reports TMZ.com.
The incident has left Ice-T fuming and he’s taken to his Twitter.com bl og to blast the arresting officer.
He writes, "Some punk b**ch rookie cop named Fisher #10026 Made the arr est of his bulls**t career today. Arresting the Notorious Ice T for no se atbelt.." The rapper and his wife were on their way to the vet’s office, where th eir bulldog Spartacus was due to undergo knee surgery, when their vehicle was pulled over.
Tweeting about the vet’s appointment prior to his arrest, Ice-T wrote, "Up early.. @cutespartacus has to get knee surgery today.. It’s a simple operation that (is) common for bulldogs. Still sucks. Wish him luck…"

Reality TV mum LISA GASTINEAU was admitted to hospital on Monday (19Jul10 ) after breaking her fingers in a fall at home.
The socialite and mother of Brittny Gastineau, her co-star on their fam ily show Gastineau Girls, revealed all in a series of tweets to fans onli ne, blaming her own clumsiness for the incident.

BILL COSBY and PHYLICIA RASHAD are using their celebrity to boost the pro file of Off-Broadway play THROUGH THE NIGHT after signing on as ‘artistic ambassadors’ for the show.
The Daniel Beaty play, about a number of characters who have an epiphan y on the same evening, is scheduled to begin previews on 10 September (10 ).
And producers hope to attract theatre-goers to the show by enlisting Co sby and Rashad, along with actress Ruby Dee and actor Brian Stokes Mitche ll, to make personal appearances and work on audience development activit ies.

ENTOURAGE co-stars KEVIN CONNOLLY and KEVIN DILLON are now business partn ers - the actors have invested in a restaurant in their native New York.
Connolly and Dillon are backing the new owners of Siro’s in Saratoga Sp rings, a popular restaurant next door to a racetrack in eastern New York.
Mortgage banker Keith Kantrowitz tells the Associated Press that his cl ients bought the restaurant from a group which had owned it since the ear ly 1980s.
He says the investors all have personal relationships with at least one of the owners.
The sale price has not been disclosed.

SANDRA BULLOCK has teamed up with BLAKE LIVELY, LENNY KRAVITZ and DAVE MA TTHEWS for a new public service announcement urging fans to help restore America’s Gulf Coast in the wake of the ongoing oil spill crisis.
The stars have filmed a PSA for Restore the Gulf, a grassroots initiati ve to secure long-term funding to clean up and protect the Gulf Coast and surrounding wetlands, which have suffered serious damage since a BP rig ruptured in April (10).
The video, which debuted on Usmagazine.com, is designed to encourage vi ewers to sign an online petition which will be delivered to the U.S. Cong ress.

JENNIFER ANISTON has obtained a restraining order against a man who was a rrested for lurking around her Hollywood Hills home last week (ends18Jul1 0) while carrying a "sharp object", according to online reports.
Court documents obtained by TMZ.com state that Jason Peyton was found " laying-in-wait" near her property on 15 July (10) "with a sharp object, a bag, a roll of duct tape and written messages about (Aniston)".
Peyton was placed on a 5150 involuntary psychiatric hold following the arrest.
Aniston’s lawyer tells the website Peyton spent eight days trying to lo cate the actress before he was taken into custody. Upon his arrest, polic e found messages carved into the paint of his car reading, "I LOVE YOU JE NNIFER ANISTON." The legal papers go on to claim: "Peyton is an obsessed, mentally ill a nd delusional stalker - with a history of violence and criminal stalking - who drove cross-country in his delusional ‘mission’ to locate and marry (Aniston), with whom he believes he is in a relationship." Officers from Los Angeles Police Department’s Threat Management Unit is investigating the case.
According to the restraining order, Peyton must stay 100 yards (91.4 me tres) away from Aniston’s home, places of work and vehicles.
Peyton must also steer clear of her employees, agents, managers and oth er reps.

LINDSAY LOHAN has begun her 90-day jail sentence after surrendering to Lo s Angeles authorities on Tuesday morning (20Jul10).
The Mean Girls star was handed the punishment by Los Angeles Judge Mars ha Revel earlier this month (Jul10) for violating probation on a 2007 DUI arrest by failing to attend court-ordered alcohol education classes.
She checked into a sober living facility last week (14Jul10) on the adv ice of her then-legal adviser Robert Shapiro, who suggested he’d be repre senting the troubled actress in court.
Lohan’s assistant was spotted moving her belongings out of the rehab ce ntre, Pickford Lofts, on Monday (19Jul10) - hours before it became clear Shapiro, who once represented O.J. Simpson, would not be her lawyer.
The actress returned to Beverly Hills Superior Court on Tuesday to repo rt to jail, accompanied by Shawn Chapman Holley, who previously quit as L ohan’s legal representative. She clarified that Shapiro had never been of ficially appointed as her client’s replacement lawyer and had simply been acting as Lohan’s legal consultant.
Lohan’s estranged father Michael and her mother Dina were present for t he brief hearing.
Michael Lohan added to the drama in court by screaming out, "I love you Lindsay" as the actress was cuffed and led away. The Mean Girls star loo ked scared and serious as she was taken into custody at 8.48am local time ..
The 24 year old was then transported to the Lynwood Correctional Facili ty, the same detention centre which housed Paris Hilton in 2007 when she was found guilty on a similar charge. Nicole Richie and Daryl Hannah have also served time behind bars there.
In a press conference staged outside the jail, Steve Whitmore, spokesma n for the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department, told the media, "At about 10: 11 this morning, Ms. Lindsay Lohan was booked into our facility to begin her sentence. She has been extremely co-operative and everything is going smoothly.
"Ms Lohan was treated just like any other (inmate). Inside it’s busines s as usual."

TOM CRUISE is reportedly in talks to give the world a glimpse into his li fe with wife KATIE HOLMES as part of a TV documentary.
The Hollywood actor has been a regular in the gossip columns ever since he began dating the former Dawson’s Creek star, but the celebrity couple has managed to keep most of the details of their romance private.

JOHN LYDON has spoken out about his infamous bust-up with KELE OKEREKE - alleging the BLOC PARTY frontman "fabricated" the incident to promote a n ew album.
The former Sex Pistols frontman hit the headlines in July, 2008 after O kereke claimed he was racially abused during a scuffle with Lydon and his entourage backstage at the Summercase festival in Barcelona, Spain.
Lydon furiously denied there was any racial element to the incident - a nd now he’s accused Okereke of inventing the entire confrontation to garn er publicity for Bloc Party’s 2008 record, Intimacy.
He tells British newspaper The Independent, "He had an album coming out , and totally fabricated the incident."

KELLY OSBOURNE has criticised physicians who dish out prescription pills to their patients without good cause - branding doctors "the biggest drug dealers in the world".
The reality TV star has long struggled with an addiction to painkillers and she endured several stints in rehab before finally kicking her habit last year (09).
Osbourne is convinced she could have lost her life to drugs, and she’s adamant doctors are to blame for the rising number of prescription pill a ddictions in Hollywood - because they are the ones who hand out the medic ations.
She tells Britain’s Heat magazine, "Five years ago I thought I’d be dea d, or real close to it, by now. It’s one of those things where other peop le’s tragedy brings it home. The amount of people who have died this year alone from the stuff I’ve done is scary.
"The biggest drug dealers in the world are doctors. And there are a lot of doctors in L.A."

Punk legend JOHN LYDON has furiously defended his decision to play a gig in Israel - insisting he will not be bullied into axing the show.
The rocker - known in his Sex Pistols heyday as Johnny Rotten - is taki ng his reformed band, Public Image Ltd. (PiL), to Tel Aviv to headline th e Heineken Music Conference 2010 Festival in August (10).
The planned show has been met with criticism and hate mail from some fa ns who insist he should follow Elvis Costello’s lead and boycott the coun try in protest over its policy towards Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Campaigners in Lydon’s native Britain are even planning demonstrations outside a PiL concert in Leeds, England on Friday (23Jul10), but the punk star is adamant he won’t cancel the Israel show - and he is livid at the controversy his decision has caused.
He tells British newspaper The Independent, "I really resent the presum ption that I’m going there to play to right-wing Nazi jews. If Elvis-f**k ing-Costello wants to pull out of a gig in Israel because he’s suddenly g ot this compassion for Palestinians, then good on him.
"But I have absolutely one rule, right? Until I see an Arab country, a Muslim country, with a democracy, I won’t understand how anyone can have a problem with how they’re treated."

OZZY OSBOURNE has officially called a truce with his former BLACK SABBATH bandmate TONY IOMMI - they have settled a long-running legal dispute ove r the use of the group’s name.
The British singer filed suit against the guitarist in May last year (0 9), accusing Iommi of falsely proclaiming to be the sole owner of the Bla ck Sabbath name by lodging an application with the U.S. Patent and Tradem ark Office.
Osbourne demanded a 50 per cent stake in the Black Sabbath trademark, a long with a portion of Iommi’s profits from use of the name, claiming his "signature lead vocals" are largely responsible for the band’s success.
The singer recently admitted he was keen to put the legal battle behind him following the death of their mutual friend Ronnie James Dio in May ( 10), and now the pair has released a joint statement confirming they have settled the dispute "amicably".
The statement, released to Blabbermouth.net, reads, "Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi of the legendary heavy metal band Black Sabbath have amicably resolved their problems over the ownership of the Black Sabbath name and court proceedings in New York have been discontinued. Both parties are gl ad to put this behind them and to co-operate together for the future and would like it to be known that the issue was never personal, it was alway s business." HAYDEN PANETTIERE is hoping to test out her skills on the stage - the you ng actress wants to land a role in a play.
The 20 year old began her career as a child star with a variety of TV r oles, including a stint in Ally McBeal and soap opera One Life to Live be fore making her breakthrough in sci-fi show Heroes.
