AL JARDINE has confirmed the original BEACH BOYS are planning a major reu nion to mark the group’s 50th anniversary in 2011 - and it will probably be a free extravaganza.
Bandmate Mike Love recently suggested he’d be teaming up with the three original members of the group for shows in 2011 and now Jardine has more details about what could be one of the gigs of next year (11).
Jardine, who has been pushing for a full Beach Boys reunion for years, tells RollingStone.com the band will reunite for at least one concert.
He says, "It=E2=80=99s a big deal. I don=E2=80=99t know where it will b e yet, but it=E2=80=99ll probably be free. Golden Gate Park (in San Franc isco) was mentioned, as was the (National) Mall in Washington, D.C. and t he north shore of Chicago, by the beach." But band leader Brian Wilson has yet to confirm his plans for a reunion .. His manager, Jean Sievers, says, "Brian has a big new album coming out in August, and that’s what he’s a hundred per cent focused on." Jardine, however, has big plans: "I want to see a 100-date anniversary tour. I want to go all around the world… If we’re going to rehearse and make this such a wonderful show, we should take it on the road. It’s the next logical step."

Rapper FOXY BROWN is in trouble with the law again - she has been arreste d in New York.
The hip-hop star was taken into custody on Wednesday (21Jul10) for alle gedly violating a protective order.
TMZ.com reports one of her neighbours had an order requiring Brown, rea l name Inga Marchand, to keep her distance - and she allegedly ignored it ..
Brown celebrated the second anniversary of her release from New York’s notorious Rikers Island prison in April (10).
The rapper served eight months behind bars following her conviction for fighting with two manicurists.

A Korean extra on the set of ANGELINA JOLIE’s new spy movie SALT scored a n acting credit and a consultant’s salary when he stepped forward as a bo rder army expert and helped "choreograph" a pivotal scene.
Director Phillip Noyce admits he was stumped when he came to shoot a sc ene, in which Jolie’s character is handed over to Americans from the Nort h Koreans - because he had no knowledge of how such a procedure takes pla ce.
It was then when an extra came forward and revealed he had been part of border handovers.
Noyce tells WENN, "That scene was choreographed by accident. One of the extras who turned up on that day was the only guy who knew how to march and I said, ‘How come you know how to march?’ He said, ‘Because I was a b order guard between North and South Korea and oversaw a lot of prisoner s waps.’ "It also turned out that his dad had worked for 30 years for the CIA as a fisherman on a Spanish registered fishing vessel - he would come home every year for six weeks and spend time in a five-star resort and then hi s dad would go back to being a lowly fisherman.
"It was that extra who choreographed the scene and gave it all its real ity, as to exactly how a prisoner exchange would occur. He was booted up to an actor’s credit because he’s the guy calling out the commands and he ’s the only one who’s in step!"

ENTOURAGE star ADRIAN GRENIER is working with 50 CENT, EMINEM and former drug kingpin RICK ROSS on a new documentary, entitled HOW TO MAKE MONEY S ELLING DRUGS.
The star is re-teaming with Bert Marcus - his partner on documentary Te enage Paparazzo - to co-produce the film, which will feature interviews w ith the trio as well as hemp advocate and stoner icon Woody Harrelson, Su san Sarandon and top-ranking U.S. government officials.
Explaining the project to Variety, Marcus says, "What we’re trying to d o is provide a glimpse into the lives of those involved in the war on dru gs and give some answers as to addiction. We think the commercial prospec ts are going to be improved by getting recognisable people involved." The film is currently in post-production.

Actor SETH GREEN was stunned when his filmmaking hero GEORGE LUCAS agreed to come to his wedding in May (10) - and he still can’t believe he can c all the STAR WARS creator a friend.
The Austin Powers star has cultivated a working relationship with Lucas over the last decade and the two have become unlikely pals.

The Titanic star was close to running out of air in his tank when he to ok off after a school of stingray and strayed from his diving party.
He tells the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine, "I was trying to get footage with a rinky-dink camera. I looked down, because I was exerting m yself a lot, and I think the tanks weren’t fastened properly, and I had, like 40 pounds of pressure." Too deep to simply swim to the surface, DiCaprio took one deep breath a nd rejoined his diving group who shared oxygen with the star.

LINDSAY LOHAN’s father has laughed off reports he attacked his fiancee du ring a fight before he headed to Los Angeles for his daughter’s pre-jail hearing on Tuesday (20Jul10), insisting his partner is simply cashing in on her brush with fame.
Michael Lohan tells TMZ.com his girlfriend, Kate Major, is strapped for cash and she created a domestic violence story to help pay the rent.
Major has filed a police complaint accusing Lohan of attacking her duri ng a heated argument on Monday afternoon (19Jul10). She claims the famous father pushed her over a chair and injured her shoulder and then reporte dly kicked her in the face as she lay on the ground.
Major admitted herself to a local hospital to receive treatment for her injuries and the website claims she has photo evidence of the damage Mic hael supposedly inflicted upon her.

Prosecutors are demanding WESLEY SNIPES’ bail is revoked and the movie st ar is sent to prison immediately for failing to file tax returns.
On Friday (16Jul10) officials in an Atlanta, Georgia appeals court uphe ld a judge’s decision to put Snipes behind bars for three years on federa l tax charges.
No date for the Blade star’s surrender was discussed and the correction al facility where Snipes, who has been free on bail pending the outcome o f the appeal, would serve his time hasn’t been revealed.
On Wednesday (21Jul10), prosecutors filed a motion opposing Snipes’ bai l, stating, "There is no good reason to delay his surrender".
The star’s attorney, Daniel Meachum, insists he will respond to the fil ed documents soon.
A jury originally convicted Snipes on three misdemeanour counts of wilf ul failure to file his income tax returns in 2008.

Former NEW ORDER and JOY DIVISION star PETER HOOK is spearheading a new T V talent search in Britain.
The bass player will host new show The Source at his Manchester, Englan d club The Factory with Peter Gabriel and ex-Stone Roses leader Ian Brown onboard as mentors.
The trio will be among the music industry’s famous faces who will asses s a host of unsigned acts, who will compete for viewer votes.
Hook says, "Those other talent shows are bulls**t, they’re just made fo r TV not for the music. This is real, it’s irreverent… As a musician I’ m supporting The Source because it will give unsigned artists the exposur e they need." Spanish tenor JOSE CARRERAS will return to Italy’s revered La Scala opera house for a charity concert later this year (10), marking his first appe arance at the iconic venue since 1996.
The opera star will headline a benefit for the European Society for Med ical Oncology in October (10).
He last performed at Milan’s La Scala in a production of Giordano’s Fed ora.
The cause is one close to Carreras’ heart - he underwent treatment for leukaemia in 1987 and set up a research foundation for the disease in 198 8.

Singer CHRIS ISAAK has emerged as the latest name to be considered as SIM ON COWELL’s replacement on AMERICAN IDOL.
The Wicked Game hitmaker has met with producers twice since Cowell quit the show in May (10) and now he has joined Harry Connick, Jr. and Bret M ichaels among the favourites to take over the show’s vacant judges chair.

Los Angeles police have arrested three people in connection to a fatal st abbing outside the home of movie producer FUMINORI HAYASHIDA.
The victim, identified as Katsutoshi Takazato, was found dead at the Be verly Hills property on Tuesday (20Jul10).
House deeds list Hayashida, who served as executive producer on the lat e Dennis Hopper’s 1990s film Lured Innocence, as the owner, although 21-y ear-old Takazato was living there at the time of his death.
Detectives from the Beverly Hills Police Department have taken three su spects into custody; their identities have yet to be released and cops ha ven’t established a motive for the killing.

BRITTANY MURPHY’s widower SIMON MONJACK died after suffering from pneumon ia and anaemia, which claimed the actress’ life in December (09).
The Clueless star passed away on 20 December (09) with pneumonia listed as the primary cause of death. Anaemia and "multiple drug intoxication" were also stated as contributing factors.
Monjack was found unconscious at the Hollywood Hills home he once share d with Murphy in May (10) - and the final coroner’s report eerily states the British filmmaker died from acute pneumonia and severe anaemia, accor ding to TMZ.com.

A late gay porn star has stunned Hollywood with allegations he bedded SUP ERMAN star CHRISTOPHER REEVE.
Cal Culver gave up the sordid details in an interview before he died in 1987 and now the lost chat has been unearthed and included in new book H ollywood Babylon Strikes Again.
Culver, who died of an AIDS-related illness, told the unnamed interview er he met Reeve when both were auditioning for the same Broadway role in the mid-1970s.
In the chat, the porn star says, "Christopher was a great lover and I t hink I liberated him sexually.
"I didn’t think he was gay but he seemed willing to try anything once. He was curious." In the book extract, obtained by the Globe, Culver calls Reeve "the man of my dreams" and reveals the two men had a passionate affair that laste d for two months - until the future Superman learned his partner was a ga y porn star, who performed under the name Casey Donovan.
Reeve died of heart failure in 2004, almost a decade after he was paral ysed in a horse fall.
