The SPICE GIRLS are reuniting for a new movie - the five-piece is working on a musical based on their hits.
The former girl band, comprising of Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown and Melanie Chisholm, announced earlier this ye ar (10) they are developing a West End stage musical based on their hit s ongs with Mamma Mia! film producer Judy Craymer.
And now former Baby Spice Bunton has announced the girls hope to turn t he stage musical, Viva Forever, into a major movie to rival Mamma Mia!’s success.
It will serve as the sequel to the group’s 1997 film Spice World.
Bunton says, "We’re all involved in the new Spice Girls film, which is being done by Judy Craymer and the team behind Mamma Mia! We email each o ther ideas and we are overjoyed it’s happening.
"We would’ve liked to do another film, but, after Spice World, there wa s an album, then a tour and then Geri left, so it didn’t happen." (KD/WNW

BRET MICHAELS is back in the news for all the wrong reasons - police repo rtedly found marijuana and unidentified controlled substances during a se arch of his tour bus in Indiana.
According to the Los Angeles Times newspaper, law officials pulled the vehicle over near Ashley on Wednesday night (21Jul10) after spotting a br oken brake light, and boarded it as the Poison star was travelling home.
Sniffer dogs tipped their police handlers off to the presence of drugs and the cops then carried out a thorough search, uncovering controlled su bstances.
Michaels’ publicist says, "No arrests were made. Mr. Michaels allowed a n open search of the buses and everything was handled in a professional m anner." Michaels is no stranger to the headlines in 2010 - he made news in Apri l and May (10) for a series of medical emergencies, including a near-fata l brain haemorrhage.

Actress LUCY LAWLESS faces a race to lose 10 unwanted pounds (4.5 kilogra ms) in a week, so she can feel comfortable baring all on camera for the S PARTACUS prequel.
The New Zealand star was such a hit as scheming Lucretia in the TV epic that she and her onscreen husband John Hannah, who both died in a finale massacre, have been brought back to life for a short series, hastily cre ated to allow Spartacus star Andy Whitfield to fully recover from a cance r battle.
But Lawless admits she over-indulged during a recent European vacation and now she’s looking for ways to lose the weight fast.
She says, "I went with a friend who’s been tremendously sick and it was all about celebrating life and we just ate and drank our way around ever y country in Europe.
"There is so much pig in Europe, you can’t believe it… I cannot tell you how much we overate and how I have to lose, like, 10 ugly pounds in one week.

Socialite NICOLE RICHIE is heading back to TV - she’s set to rejoin the c ast of CHUCK two years after making a guest appearance on the comedy.
The former reality TV star will reprise her role as Heather Chandler, t he high school nemesis of Sarah Walker - the character played by Yvonne S trahovski - in October (10) in a scene involving a prison transfer gone w rong.
According to EW.com, Richie won’t be the only returning guest star - wr estler ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin is also set to appear in the same episod e as Hugo Panzer.

Funnyman WILL FERRELL opened this year’s (10) Comic-Con event in San Dieg o by bringing fans breakfast, dressed up as his cartoon character MEGAMIN D.
Donning blue face paint and a huge helmet, Ferrell took over the annual comic book exhibition in character.
But his gift of a box of doughnuts and a jug of orange juice clearly wa sn’t enough to go around.
He joked, "I didn’t think there would be so many of you." Ferrell’s Megamind co-stars Tina Fey and Jonah Hill joined him for the first-day press conference, but another castmate, Brad Pitt, was only the re in cardboard cut-out form.
The film’s director, Tom McGrath, joked that Pitt "had to watch the kid s" because his partner, Angelina Jolie, was also at Comic-Con.
Jolie, there to promote her new movie Salt, was the biggest draw of the opening day as thousands of film fans queued up for hours to see the sta r.

BRITTANY MURPHY’s mother has issued a desperate plea to the media to stop speculating about the tragic deaths of the actress and her husband SIMON MONJACK after they were both found to have died of natural causes.
The Clueless star passed away on 20 December (09) with pneumonia listed as the primary cause of death. Anaemia and "multiple drug intoxication" were also stated as contributing factors.
Monjack was found unconscious at the Hollywood Hills home he once share d with Murphy and her mum in May (10) - and the final coroner’s report ee rily states the British filmmaker also died from acute pneumonia and seve re anaemia.
Traces of prescription drugs were also found in his system but the Los Angeles County Coroner has ruled it was not enough to be fatal.
Sharon Murphy was rocked by the double tragedy, which occurred within t he space of five months, and she is hoping the autopsy reports will bring an end to the "reckless" rumours in the press, suggesting drugs were inv olved in both deaths.
In a statement issued on Wednesday (21Jul10), she says, "I am calling o n the media to stop the reckless innuendos, that my daughter and son-in-l aw misused any kind of prescription medications." Sharon admits she is "still in shock and mourning" over the losses, but insists, "I am getting stronger every day."

ORLANDO BLOOM has wed his model girlfriend MIRANDA KERR in a secret cerem ony, just a month after the couple announced its engagement.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star and the model exchanged vows in an "i ntimate" service on Thursday (22Jul10), Kerr’s publicist Carli Lyon has c onfirmed.
Kerr has since pulled out of her fashion duties for Australian clothing chain David Jones so she can go on honeymoon with Bloom, who she has bee n dating since 2007.
In a statement she says, "We have been trying to plan this for some tim e and unfortunately the only window of opportunity for our honeymoon fell at the same time as the David Jones fashion launch. David Jones very gra ciously released me during this period so we could celebrate an intimate ceremony and honeymoon together." ANGELINA JOLIE’s dreams of returning to the big screen as top spy EVELYN SALT look like becoming a reality - director PHILLIP NOYCE wants to make a sequel.
And the ambitious director would like Ben Affleck and Tom Cruise, who w as originally slated to play Salt, to guest in the film.
Noyce tells Eonline.com, "Hopefully within a couple of years, we’ll hav e one (sequel). Angelina’s so great in this part that when audiences see the movie they’re going to feel like it’s only just the beginning.

Rapper T.I. is looking to complete his return to the mainstream following his recent incarceration by teaming up with LADY GAGA on record.
The Live Your Life hitmaker, who has hit the top of the charts with Rih anna, Usher and Justin Timberlake collaborations, now has plans to Lick I t! with the Poker Face hitmaker.

TAKE THAT have filmed their first music video with ROBBIE WILLIAMS for mo re than 15 years.
The Back For Good bandmates donned old-fashioned rowing uniforms to com pete in a mock Oxford and Cambridge boat race in the promo clip for new s ingle The Flood, which will mark the band’s full reunion.
The video was filmed at Dorney Lake in Berkshire, where top rowers will compete in the 2012 London Olympics.
A source tells Britain’s The Sun, "Robbie and the boys clearly got on v ery well. It was just like old times. They were mucking (messing) about a nd having fun.
"The boys were stuck in a five-seater rowing boat wearing old-fashioned white rowing kits, bearing a custom-designed Take That crest. They were told to paddle like the professionals. I think they found it quite hard. If you haven’t done it before, sculling (rowing) can be pretty difficult.
" And playful Williams relished his day on set - by hopping in the lake a nd singing with kids on set: "When they finished filming on the first day Robbie decided he needed to cool off. He jumped straight into the lake a nd had a little swim. No one else had the guts to join him - it was freez ing! "There were lots of little kids around and at one stage they all starte d singing (Williams’ hit song) Angels and Robbie was pretending to conduc t them." The boy band plans to release an album and go on tour following William s’ return 15 years after he left to pursue a solo career.

SMASHING PUMPKINS leader BILLY CORGAN has assured fans he’s fine after pa ssing out onstage during a show in Tampa, Florida on Wednesday night (21J ul10) The rocker appeared dizzy during the band’s performance of Bullet with Butterfly Wings at the sold out Ritz Ybor venue and briefly stumbled and fell.
But he insists there’s nothing to worry about and the show will go on.
In a Twitter.com post to fans on Thursday (22Jul10), Corgan wrote, "For those that saw me fall last night during Bullet, that wasn’t a stage mov e or clumsiness, that was me blacking out and wiping out.

Country music star DIERKS BENTLEY is expecting a second child with his wi fe CASSIDY BLACK.

Singer/producer THE-DREAM knew his marriage to CHRISTINA MILIAN was over before she gave birth to their first child together - he filed for divorc e just nine days before she became a mum.
The R&B stars eloped in September 2009 and pop star Milian announced he r pregnancy weeks later.
They exchanged vows for a second time in Rome, Italy in December (09) a nd welcomed their daughter Violet in February (10).
The-Dream, real name Terius Nash, recently opened up about his "failed" marriage to Milian after it emerged they had parted ways late last year (09).
They decided to keep the split news secret for the sake of their baby, but documents obtained by TMZ.com now reveal The-Dream moved to have the marriage dissolved on 17 February (10), just before little Violet was bor n on 26 February (10).
In the court documents, filed in Georgia, The-Dream claims the marriage is "irretrievably broken" and states, "There is no hope for reconciliati on." It’s The-Dream’s second failed marriage - he was previously wed to sing er Nivea, with whom he has three children.

STEVEN SEAGAL is heading back to TV to play a vigilante cop.
The action man, who recently fronted reality TV show Steven Seagal: Law man, is currently filming a new 13-part series, called Southern Justice, in Vancouver, Canada.
According to MovieHole.net, the actor will play Elijah Kane, the leader of an undercover group of cops that chases down the bad guys in the Seat tle area, in the series.

Actress BRYCE DALLAS HOWARD put her marriage to the test at the height of her battle with post-partum depression by screaming at her husband as sh e struggled to stay sane.
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse star found out she was pregnant with son The o on her honeymoon.
But what should have been a lovely period of her life eight months late r was a nightmare that really began five days into new motherhood - when her actor husband Seth Gabel flew off to shoot a movie and Howard was lef t alone with the baby.
Writing a piece for fellow post-partum sufferer Gwyneth Paltrow’s wellb eing website GOOP.com, she recalls, "My husband began shooting a televisi on series, and late evenings when he returned home, I would meet him at t he door, shaking with fury: ‘I’ve hit the wall and gone through it, and I feel I am expected to go further’.
"He would ask what he could do to help, but knowing there was nothing h e could do, I screamed expletives at him, behaviour he had never experien ced in the seven years we had been together.
"Distraught and concerned, he told me he would figure everything out, t ried to assure me I didn’t need to worry. He created a plan, and with the support of my husband, my friends and my family, I returned to my midwif e. I finally understood I needed to answer her questions honestly, and wh en I did, she suggested a homeopathic treatment plan, reconnected me with my doctor who oversaw my care, and sent me to a therapist who diagnosed me with severe post-partum depression."

Supermodel NAOMI CAMPBELL will testify in the ongoing war crimes trial ag ainst former Liberian president CHARLES TAYLOR next month (Aug10) after p ostponing her original court date.
The British beauty became embroiled in the high profile case in The Hag ue after it was alleged Taylor had given her a blood diamond as a gift at a party in 1997.
She has previously refused to comment on the allegations and, during a recent televised chat with Oprah Winfrey, she insisted she had no idea wh o Taylor was when she met him at a gathering hosted by then-South African president Nelson Mandela, her friend.
Campbell has also voiced her fears for her own safety and that of her f amily if she appears as a witness and testifies against Taylor, who has p leaded not guilty to 11 charges, including murder, torture, rape, sexual slavery and the use of child soldiers and terrorism during Sierra Leone’s 1991-2002 civil war.
Prosecutors subpoenaed Campbell, claiming her testimony would provide " direct evidence of the accused’s possession of rough diamonds".
She was initially due to testify in the Netherlands on 29 July (10) but the model recently requested a later hearing and a new date has now been set for 5 August (10).
The model faces jail time if she fails to appear in court.
