STALLONE’S SECURITY SCARES ON EXPENDABLES
SYLVESTER STALLONE stepped up security while shooting THE EXPENDABLES in Brazil - because gang activity was rife in the area where the blockbuster was filmed.
The action man, who stars in and directs the film, admits he was terrif ied of local thugs invading the set, so he recruited a fleet of burly bod yguards to protect his cast and crew.
He explains, "Around the set there were carjackings and robberies. Half of our local grew members had skulls on their shirts - it was hardcore.
"We came along to blow their country up, we barbecued an entire village for this film and protection was needed. We had 70 bodyguards - that’s r ight, seven-oh."
