SOIL SINGER & DRUMMER QUIT BAND

American heavy metal band SOIL have lost their lead singer, A.J. CAVALIER , and drummer, TOM SCHOFIELD.
Schofield, who co-founded the group in 1997, sparked rumours of a rift earlier this month (Jul10) when he told website Blabbermouth.net his band mate Cavalier was on an "indefinite hiatus" from the band. He also reveal ed that he was "looking for new musical opportunities".
And now remaining members, guitarist Adam Zadel and bassist Tim King, h ave confirmed the pair has quit.
A statement posted on the band’s MySpace.com page reads, "I=E2=80=99m s ure you are all wondering what is happening in the world of Soil after al l the rumors and statements that have been going around.
=E2=80=9CLate last week we learned of A.J.=E2=80=99s intentions as he n otified us of his =E2=80=98indefinite hiatus.=E2=80=99 Then we learned of Tom=E2=80=99s intentions, as did all of you, via the Blabbermouth statem ent he issued a few days ago." The Unreal hitmakers insist the "show must and will go on", and they ha ve already signed up replacements - Chainwax drummer Mike Tignino and for mer Silvergun singer Jordan Lee have joined the band.
