EMINEM revisits the homes from his tough childhood whenever he needs insp iration for his rhymes - and reveals the unplanned trips help to remind h im how fortunate he is.
The Stan rapper often leaves the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, where he now lives and drives around the neighbourhoods where he grew up, checkin g out the changes to the homes where he once lived.
He tells Spin magazine, "It may sound corny, but I’ll go by and try to remember how things were when I was in those houses.
"I’ll go back and remember… how life was back then. How much of a str uggle it was. As time goes by, you might get content and forget things."
