PIZZORNO FEARS WIFE WILL GIVE BIRTH DURING FESTIVAL SLOT
KASABIAN rocker SERGE PIZZORNO is convinced his wife will give birth duri ng the band’s headlining slot at a British music festival in August (10) - but he’s adamant he will still take the stage.
The guitarist’s childhood sweetheart Amy is due to give birth to the co uple’s first child two weeks after the group’s gig at V Festival next mon th (22-23Aug10) and Pizzorno fears she will go into labour early.
But the musician insists if she does, he will finish his set and join h is partner in hospital afterwards.
He tells Britain’s The Sun, "Everyone tells me that first babies are al ways late. But I’m sure we’re going to be jinxed. Amy will have two weeks to go when we play V. It will be sod’s law if I’m on stage and her mum a nd dad have to take her to hospital - but I’ll rush there as soon as the gig is over!"
