JONES TO RE-TAKE DRIVING TEST
Singing veteran SIR TOM JONES has been ordered to re-take his driving tes t now he has reached the age of 70.
The Welsh crooner celebrated the milestone birthday in June (10), but d espite holding a British licence, Jones has been told he must take anothe r exam if he wants to continue driving in America, where he lives.
The What’s New Pussycat hitmaker will also have to undergo an eye test and a written assessment, but the star is adamant he will pass.
He says, "I feel prepared. I’ve been driving since I was 25 and I’ve re -read the book. There’s not much more I can do. They’ll certainly have a shock when I get in the car." And even if he fails the re-examination, the singer has a back-up plan: "I tend to fly places or have a tour bus. Then you only need a limo to c ollect you from the airport."
