BLUES STAR WALKER DIES
Blues musician PHILLIP WALKER has died, aged 73.
The American singer and guitarist passed away from apparent heart failu re on Thursday (22Jul10), representatives from his record label have conf irmed.
A statement from Delta Groove Productions reads, "It is with deepest so rrow that we report on the sudden and unexpected passing of legendary blu es guitarist Phillip Walker. He died of apparent heart failure at 4:30 AM , early Thursday morning, July 22, 2010. He was 73 years old." Throughout his lengthy career, Walker most notably backed singer Etta J ames and was known for his 1959 hit single Hello My Darling.
