VOIGHT INVESTS IN TECHNOLOGY TO CHAT WITH GRANDKIDS
Movie veteran JON VOIGHT is relying on technology to stay in contact with his globe-trotting grandkids while shooting his new TV show in Texas.
The Deliverance star recently reconciled with his daughter Angelina Jol ie following an eight-year estrangement, and he is just getting to know t he actress’ six-strong brood of adopted and biological children.
And Voight, who will soon relocate from Los Angeles to Texas to film ne w series Lonestar, is determined not to miss another moment of his family growing up - he is having internet phone system Skype installed to stay in contact with Jolie and her family.
He tells People.com, "It’s hard for me to be away from my grandkids, ye s, but I’ll stay in touch with them. Thank God we have this technology, a nd you know, we use all of it.
"We’re just setting it (Skype) up now. Anyway, I love being in touch wi th the family." Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt own homes all over the world and recent ly spent several months living in Venice, Italy while the actress filmed scenes for her new movie The Tourist.
