Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:39 pm

KATY PERRY is glad her career took off when she was in her twenties - bec ause she’s avoided the fate of many child stars who "mess up" in the spot light.
The singer found fame with the release of her debut single, I Kissed A Girl, in 2008 when she was aged 23, and she’s convinced that not hitting the headlines as a teenager has saved her from a lot of controversy.
She tells Britain’s Radio 2, "My first record didn’t take off until I w as 23 so I was perhaps in a different headspace to someone who became suc cessful at a younger age. If you’re starting at 14 or 15 your maturity ha sn’t fully evolved.

MOORE COMPLAINS OVER ACTORS’ ACCENTS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:30 pm

Former JAMES BOND star SIR ROGER MOORE has accused British TV bosses of p hasing out "proper English" accents in favour of regional dialects.
The well-spoken actor reveals his daughter Deborah, who followed her fa ther into showbusiness, complains she is often "turned down for parts" be cause of her posh voice.
And Moore is convinced the rise of regional accents on British televisi on will eventually lead to the loss of traditional "actors’ voices".
He says, "(Deborah) complains she is always being turned down for parts because she is not regional in her speech, which I think is a great pity ..
"I think it is probably the fault of television. You don’t hear what we used to call West End actors’ voices on (British drama) series like Holb y City, Casualty and The Bill… I think it is sad that proper English is disappearing. I don’t see why it went out of fashion."
