TWILIGHT MUM: ‘I WANT TO GET A TAN’
TWILIGHT star ELIZABETH REASER is hoping to take the summer off and get a tan - because she’s sick of being pale and interesting for the vampire f ilm franchise.
The actress, who plays Cullen family matriarch Esme in the Twilight mov ies, admits she’s has been avoiding beaches and sunny days for the past t hree years - but now she’s been given a break from playing the undead.
She says, "I’d like to maybe get a bit of colour, get some sun… I’ve been wearing SPF 85 for, like, three years now." Reaser insists there’s no ’stay-pale’ clause in her contract - but it’s perfectly clear the producers of the film franchise want their vampires to stay out of the sun.
She adds, "It’s sort of unspoken, but it’s understood. I remember Nikki (Reed) was in Greece, frolicking in the ocean and Wyck Godfrey, the prod ucer, saw a picture of it on the Internet and gave her a call: ‘Nikki, I see you in the sun.’"
