COLE LANDS COMIC BOOK ROLE
CHERYL COLE is getting animated - the singer is set to appear in long-run ning British children’s comic THE BEANO.
The 26-year-old pop star will appear as a singing sidekick to bad girl character Minnie the Minx in a series of upcoming summer (10) issues, whi ch will also feature England soccer ace Wayne Rooney.
A Beano spokesman says: "Minnie the Minx will be meeting Cheryl and Way ne in a run of stories which will coincide with the school summer holiday s.
"They are both hugely popular with readers and I’m sure they’ll be thri lled at the prospect of them coming face to face with a British instituti on, in the shape of Minnie." Publishers at D.C. Thomson & Co. Ltd were reportedly inspired to featur e the pop star after seeing her in an Alexander McQueen-designed red-and- black striped outfit - the same colours red-haired Minnie wears - in the video for her hit single Fight for This Love.
