GRIGORIEVA: ‘CRUEL GIBSON HAS LEFT ME BROKE’
MEL GIBSON’s former partner OKSANA GRIGORIEVA has spoken out about her st ormy relationship with the BRAVEHEART star, branding the actor "cruel" an d accusing him of failing to pay her any child maintenance for their daug hter, LUCIA.
Gibson split from Grigorieva, the mother of his seven-month-old child, earlier this year (10) and the former couple is said to be embroiled in a battle over visitation rights.
The singer reportedly won a restraining order in Los Angeles against Gi bson at the beginning of the week (beg21Jun10), prompting the movie star/ director’s legal team to call for a modification so their client could sp end time with his daughter.
Gibson is said to have filed for a restraining order against Grigorieva so she is forbidden from speaking about the couple’s relationship - but the singer has vehemently denied the claims in an exclusive interview wit h Britain’s Mail on Sunday newspaper.
She tells the publication, "There is no restraining order against me, b ut my lawyers went to court and a judge granted a restraining order again st him." Grigorieva opens up about the break-down of their relationship, allegin g she "left him" for the sake of her children - Lucia and her son from a previous relationship - despite rumours the star dumped her.
She also claims Gibson is not paying her "a penny" towards the upkeep o f their daughter and she is "having to live on credit cards".
Grigorieva explains, "He is not paying me a penny. Nothing. There are s o many lies being said about me. I was trying to keep things dignified an d be respectful to the father of my daughter, but what he is doing is cru elty. I am having to live on credit cards and borrowed money. It is not a good situation.
"’We were together for three years. So much that is being put out there is wrong. He didn’t dump me, I left him. I rescued my children and mysel f."
