NE-YO TO BE A DAD
Soul man NE-YO is to be a dad - his girlfriend MONYETTA SHAW is pregnant with the couple’s first child.
The So Sick singer has confirmed the happy news to Ebony magazine.
He says, "I am 30 and I do have my first child on the way, and I=E2=80=99 m very, very, very excited about that. It=E2=80=99s a New Year=E2=80=99s baby and I=E2=80=99m just in a really good place right now." The singer admits he recently flew home to Atlanta, Georgia, so he coul d be with Shaw for her first ultrasound.
His mother, Loraine Smith, couldn’t contain her excitement when she was approached by Sister 2 Sister magazine on Friday (25Jun10), admitting sh e’s excited about becoming a grandmother.
She said, "She=E2=80=99s in her second trimester… We have embraced Mo nyetta and love her to death.=E2=80=9D=E2=80=A8"
