SIGNED BECKHAM CHARITY SHIRT STOLEN
A shirt signed by soccer superstar DAVID BECKHAM to raise funds for a chi ldren’s charity in England has been stolen.
The soccer kit, signed by the sports legend, was exhibited in a frame i n a shop in St Albans, England and was to be auctioned off for local chil dren’s hospice Keech Cottage.
The item - expected to raise over $900 (=C2=A3600) for terminally ill k ids - was stolen earlier this month (Jun10) and police have launched an i nvestigation into the theft.
Local councillor Gordon Myland says, "Whoever did this is the lowest of the low. The highest bid was =C2=A3600, which is what would have gone to the hospice. I would like to… appeal for the guilty party or anyone wi th information to come forward."
