NEW YORK YANKEES CHIEFS DENY GAGA BAN
A representative for the New York Yankees has shot down reports LADY GAGA has been banned from the team clubhouse after allegedly infuriating base ball bosses with her drunken behaviour on Friday night (18Jun10).
The Poker Face hitmaker, a lifelong Yankees fan, joined star players in cluding Ronson Cano for drinks inside the team’s clubhouse after they los t the Subway Series game 4-0 to the New York Mets.
The New York Post claimed an inebriated Gaga - who was scantily dressed in a Yankees shirt worn over black underwear with fishnet stockings - ha d angered team bosses by talking her way into the private lounge after th e game.
The tabloid went on to allege the singer stunnned sportsmen by groping her breasts over her jersey before leaving via a private exit.
News of Gaga’s raunchy antics quickly reached the Yankees’ top executiv es - and co-chairman Hal Steinbrenner was reportedly so angry at the reve lation, he’d notified all staff at Yankee Stadium that the eccentric pop star is no longer welcome in the clubhouse.
But the Yankees’ general manager, Brian Cashman, dismissed the claims, telling ESPN.com, "She’s not banned. Celebrities aren’t banned." Acknowledging the singer’s presence at the venue on Friday, Cashman add s, "There is just a time and place. It is not her fault." It’s not the first time the singer has hit the headlines at a baseball game - Gaga caused controversy earlier this month (Jun10) when she attend ed a match between the Mets and the visiting San Diego Padres, when she d emanded a seat change after noticing photographers snapping her every mov e.
She was moved to comedian Jerry Seinfeld’s vacant box but proceeded to take off her leather jacket to reveal her underwear and then began to fli p her middle finger at the snappers down below.
