Rocker BRET MICHAELS is back in hospital after suffering a mini-stroke, a nd doctors have discovered he has a hole in his heart.
The unlucky Poison frontman has been making comeback plans after suffer ing a brain haemorrhage last month (Apr10) - and now he has been hit by a nother health battle after experiencing numbness on the left side of his body.
In a post on Michaels’ website, his physician, Dr. Joseph Zabramski, wr ites, "There is no doubt that (this) is devastating news to Bret and his family. The good news is that it is operable and treatable and we think w e may have diagnosed the problem that caused the Transient Ischemic Attac k (stroke).
"Without a doubt he is very determined to get healthy and make a 100 pe r cent recovery. Medically speaking it is a fantastic attitude both menta lly and physically for him to have. However, Bret’s brain and body are no t quite 100 per cent yet, especially with the hole found in his heart." However, Michaels’ representative has reassured fans that the star appe ars to be responding well to treatment.
Jann Elias says, "(He is) in good spirits, great medical hands and is p ositive and hopeful that everything is going to be okay.
"He is up, walking, talking, continuing his daily rehab and very happy to be alive, but he has made it clear he is sick and tired of being in th e hospital and is ready to rock again." The stroke is not believed to be related to his near-fatal brain haemor rhage.
It is not known if his latest medical crisis will effect his appearance on the upcoming finale of U.S. reality TV show The Apprentice or concert s planned at the end of the month (May10).

Tour organiser Sarah McLachlan admits she approached the teen pop star and asked her to make an appearance.

Music mogul SIMON COWELL can’t control the deep depression he often falls into, confessing he’s best left alone in his darker moments.
In a candid chat with Oprah Winfrey, which aired in America on Thursday (20May10), the moody American Idol star revealed he has always fought th e blues and struggles to maintain friendships and relationships when he’s low.
He told Winfrey, "When I’m like that I kind of feel like going into som e slight hibernation. I’m very dark when I’m in those moments… I get ve ry, very down. Don’t come near me. (I’m) like a bear in a cage." Asked what he has to get down about, Cowell explains, "Maybe it’s the d raining effect when you have a lot of people who depend on you… by the end of it you feel that everything’s been sucked out of you because of th at dependency." But the mogul insists he’ll never take anti-depressants in a bid to sha ke the blues.
He adds, "I would never take a pill, for instance, to deal with that. I t’s something I’ve got to deal with myself.
"I put it down to, ‘OK, so I’m a bit moody, bit over-dramatic about eve rything, give yourself a mental slap and get on with it.’"

Rocker JEFF BECK completed his latest album EMOTION & COMMOTION with just three fingers on his ‘fretting’ hand - after he sliced through one in a kitchen accident.
The guitar great cut off a fingertip in the incident and had to tightly tape the damaged digit to another to allow the tip to reconnect with his finger.
He tells Gibson.com, "I had to finish up the album, I had to play two o r three tracks without that finger. Over the Rainbow was done with the th ree fingers… I taped the little finger and the one next to it with stic ky tape, so that it could be used.
"It’s amazing what you can do. It really is." Beck was complimented on his quick-thinking medical skills - the tip of his finger had already started to reconnect with his bloody digit by the time he got to hospital.
He adds, "I mean I lost it (tip); it was gone, it was just hanging off.
… I stuck it back and freaked out and then went to the hospital. But I a voided stitches because the surgeon said I’d done such a great job sticki ng it back! And it had just started to take when he had a look at it." And now Beck has his finger back: "It’s completely healed (but) it’s st ill numb on the very tip."

Actor PAUL REUBENS’ child-like alter-ego, PEE-WEE HERMAN, is heading for Broadway - his madcap stage show has landed a New York run.
The Pee-wee Herman Show was a smash hit when it debuted onstage in Los Angeles earlier this year (10) and now he’s set for a six-week run in New York in November (10).
The show is a revamp of Reubens’ 1981 stage show that landed the actor and his beloved character a TV show and a film franchise.

Masterpieces by PABLO PICASSO and HENRI MATISSE have been stolen from the Museum of Modern Art in Paris, France during a $124.2 million (=C2=A377.
6 million) heist.
Thieves smashed a window, broke into the gallery on Wednesday night (19 May10) and escaped with five paintings including pieces by Georges Braque , Fernand Leger and Amedeo Modigliani.
Officials only realised something was wrong when they opened for busine ss on Thursday (20May10) and discovered the broken glass from the window.
The museum’s hi-tech alarm system had not been triggered by the heist an d security guards failed to notice any criminal activity.
Christophe Girard, the culture deputy for the Mayor of Paris, says, "Th is is a serious crime to the heritage of humanity… (committed by) one o r more individuals who were obviously organised." The missing Picasso work is Dove with Green Peas, which is worth an est imated $27.9 million (=C2=A317.4 million).
Police are investigating the incident and have yet to make any arrests in the case.

JESSE JAMES is selling off his California home and planning a move to Aus tin, Texas so he can be close to his soon-to-be ex-wife SANDRA BULLOCK an d their adopted son, according to a U.S. report.

NAOMI CAMPBELL is fighting a potential subpoena to testify in former Libe rian president CHARLES TAYLOR’s war crimes trial in The Netherlands becau se she fears for her safety if she appears.
Prosecutors trying the former leader in The Hague have asked judges to subpoena the supermodel as a witness.
They have filed a motion calling for the Brit to testify about uncut di amonds Taylor allegedly gave her as a gift in 1997.

The prosecution also wants actress Mia Farrow to testify about the alle ged gift after she revealed Campbell had told her about the present.
Farrow, who was at the party with Campbell when the gift was given to h er, recently urged the model to "step up" and testify at the trial. She a lleges Campbell told her about her unusual present over breakfast the nex t morning.

Rapper JAE MILLZ is facing drug possession charges after he was arrested on Tuesday (18May10) following an alleged domestic dispute.
Police were called to Millz’s Bronx, New York home after receiving a co mplaint from a woman at the property.
Notifying fans of the incident on Twitter.com, he wrote, "This woman re ally just called the cops on me… But u (sic) in MY house!!!" Lil Wayne’s protege, real name Jarvis Mills, later tweeted that he was being taken into custody for having "an illegal substance", although furt her details were unavailable as WENN went to press.
He has since been released from jail.

Troubled rap mogul MARION ‘SUGE’ KNIGHT has been released from jail follo wing his arrest on alleged gun charges.
The Death Row Records founder’s Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) was pulled over by police in Los Angeles on Thursday morning (20May10) after cops w ere tipped off about a man reportedly pointing a gun at another car.
Officers initiated a "high risk stop", drawing their weapons and orderi ng Knight and his two female companions out of the vehicle, according to TMZ.com.
Reports suggest the rap boss was taken into custody for assault with a deadly weapon and driving with a suspended license.
But Knight is once again a free man after posting $65,000 (=C2=A346,000 ) bail.

Country star CARRIE UNDERWOOD has launched a relief fund to aid the victi ms left homeless by the floods in Nashville, Tennessee.
The city has been left devastated by severe storms which lashed landmar ks and homes earlier this month (May10) and the subsequent floods left mu ch of the area underwater, claimed the lives of over 20 people and left t housands homeless.
A host of celebrities have come forward to help raise money for the rel ief efforts but Underwood has gone one step further by establishing the T emporary Home Fund with the Academy of Country Music’s (ACM) Lifting Live s organisation.
The generous singer is giving the fund, named after her new song, a big boost - she’s using grants she is to receive from the ACM as its current Entertainer of The Year to kickstart the charity.
