LOHAN BACK IN LOS ANGELES

LINDSAY LOHAN has returned to Los Angeles, where she faces jail time afte r missing a mandatory probation hearing on Thursday (20May10).
The actress had to extend her trip to the Cannes Film Festival in Franc e - and miss the court date with Judge Marsha Revel - after her passport was reportedly stolen.
Lohan now faces a showdown at Beverly Hills Courthouse with Judge Revel on Monday (24May10).
The Mean Girls star appears to be in big trouble - as well as missing t he court date last week, she also jetted off to Cannes after completing o nly 10 of her 13 court-ordered alcohol education classes, stemming from a 2007 DUI arrest.
Judge Revel issued a warrant for her arrest after the court no-show, bu t representatives for Lohan posted $10,000 (=C2=A36,250) of her $100,000 (=C2=A362,50) bail and the warrant was recalled.
In court on Thursday, the judge also stated there was reason to believe Lohan had violated the terms of her probation, which could result in a 1 80-day prison sentence.

TRUMP: ‘BRET MICHAELS IS A REAL FIGHTER’

Business tycoon-turned-reality TV star DONALD TRUMP has become a big fan of his CELEBRITY APPRENTICE contestant BRET MICHAELS - because the rocker is such "a fighter".
Michaels made it to the final of the reality TV show before a triple he alth crisis threatened to end his life.
Now, after battling an appendectomy, brain haemorrhage and a mini-strok e brought on by a hole in his heart, the Poison rock star is expected to appear on the live finale on Sunday night (23May10) - and Trump couldn’t be more impressed.
He says, "He has really turned out to be a great character. He’s going through a very hard time.
"He went back into the hospital… They found a hole in his heart and h e’s really been fighting. He’s a great fighter.
"During the show, I realised what a tough guy he was - when I first met him, I didn’t know him… He really did a great job." But Trump won’t know if his star Apprentice will be available for Sunda y night’s finale - until just before the show airs.
He adds, "We’re just wondering whether or not Bret will be able to make it… This can only happen to me - I have a finale and I don’t know if h e’s gonna be showing up.
"I might have to talk to the audience for two hours about real estate i nvestments." The signs look good - Michaels took off from his home in Arizona on a f light bound for New York, where the finale will be held, on Sunday mornin g (23May10).
People.com reports the flight had to touch down in Nashville, Tennessee - because Michaels was complaining of "a headache, lower back pain and s ome cramping in his legs." After medical attention, he reboarded the private jet bound for New Yor k.

BARDEM & BINOCHE TRIUMPH AT CANNES

Oscar winners JAVIER BARDEM and JULIETTE BINOCHE added major trophies to their collections on Sunday (23May10) when the two European stars landed the acting awards at the Cannes Film Festival in France.
Spaniard Bardem shared the Best Actor Prize with Elio Germano, while Th e English Patient star Binoche was named Best Actress for Certified Copy.
The Cannes Film Festival’s competition jury president Tim Burton handed the coveted Palme d=E2=80=99Or honour to acclaimed Thai movie Uncle Boon mee Who Can Recall His Past Lives. The runner-up Grand Prix prize went to Of Gods and Men.
French actor/director Mathieu Amalric claimed the two-week festival’s B est Director award for Tournee, while the event’s Best Screenplay prize w ent to Lee Chang-dong for Poetry.
Other big winners during the closing ceremony’s prizegiving included An o Bisiesto (Camera d=E2=80=99Or), A Screaming Man (Prix du Jury), Ha Ha H a (Prize of Un Certain Regard) and Octubre (Un Certain Regard Jury Prize) ..

JAY KAY ACCUSED OF FOUL-MOUTHED TIRADE

JAMIROQUAI star JAY KAY has been accused of threatening a pet breeder in a foul-mouthed phone rant about his dog last week (ends16May10).
The singer can allegedly be heard hurling abuse in the voice message he left for Carole Brooks, who had asked for permission to breed Kruger, th e rare Blue German Shepherd she sold him.
In the recorded rant, a man believed to be Kay shouts, "You need to get something through your f**king head. You breed dogs, I bought one off yo u, now it’s my dog.
"I’m not f**king joking… You f**k me about with f**king emails and me ssages anymore I’ll personally come down there and sort it out - do you u nderstand me? You don’t f**king dare send me messages, he’s now part of m y f**king family." And Brooks, who suffers from an anxiety disorder, admits the message ha s left her terrified. She tells Britain’s News of the World, "I can’t lis ten to it without shaking. I’m scared to leave the house anyway, but this has made it worse."

JAGGER ADDRESSES EXILE DRUG USE

SIR MICK JAGGER has defended the drug use captured in 40-year-old footage of the ROLLING STONES in a new documentary, insisting "excess was the or der of the day".
The band has come under fire for shocking moments in the new film, Ston es In Exile, which depicts the rockers’ hedonistic lifestyles while recor ding their 1972 album Exile on Main Street.
In one scene, the eight-year-old son of a backing musician can be seen telling the filmmakers that his job is to roll marijuana cigarettes for w hoever wants them.
But Jagger insists the group’s behaviour was normal at the time.
He tells Britain’s Sunday Telegraph, "You don’t see anything that bad ( in the documentary), do you? Lots of children running around rolling join ts. And, you know, people making music. It’s pretty much what I imagine m ost people think being in a rock band is all about. But yes… excess was the order of the day. But you get excesses now in consumption of other t hings like consumer goods." Jagger hit the headlines after speaking about drugs earlier this week ( 18May10) - he called for government officials to legalise marijuana on a British island to see if the measure would prevent drug-related violence.

KNIGHT HAD NO GUN IN POLICE SEARCH - REPORT

A representative for MARION ‘SUGE’ KNIGHT has dismissed reports the rap m ogul was in possession of a gun when he was arrested on Thursday (20May10 ).
The Death Row Records founder was apprehended after cops were tipped of f about a man reportedly pointing a firearm at another car from his Cadil lac Escalade during a confrontation at a Los Angeles gas station.
Officers initiated a "high-risk stop", drawing their weapons and orderi ng Knight and his two female companions out of the sports utility vehicle ..
He was said to have been taken into custody for assault with a deadly w eapon and driving with a suspended licence - but surveillance footage fil med at the location does not show Knight holding a firearm, according to TMZ.com.
The star’s spokesperson claims the incident began when "some guy walked up to the (car) window and started talking to the women in the car disre spectfully".
The rep adds, "This made Suge mad so he left the gas station. He never got out of the car and he never had any gun on him."

GAGA TESTED FOR LUPUS

LADY GAGA has undergone testing to determine if she suffers from lupus, t he genetic disease which killed her aunt.
The Poker Face singer has sought medical advice for a string of health problems in the last year (09), including breathing difficulties, blurred vision, stress and headaches.
She has since been tested for lupus, which causes the immune system to attack the body and which killed her father’s sister Joanne when she was 19 - but Gaga does not want her loyal fans to be concerned about her heal th.
She tells Britain’s The Times, "Yes (I have been tested). But I don’t w ant anyone to be worried… I have heart palpitations… but it’s OK. It’ s just from fatigue and other things. I’m very connected to my aunt, Joan ne, who died of lupus. It’s a very personal thing. I don’t want my fans t o be worried about me." And the 24 year old admits she has been taking pills to help her deal w ith the pressures of fame: "(I use) prescription medicine. I can’t contro l my thoughts at all. I’m tortured. But I like that… It’s good to be to rtured. The thoughts are unstoppable - but so is the music. It comes to m e constantly."

CAMPBELL GIVEN ALL-CLEAR FOR HAITI TRIP

NAOMI CAMPBELL has been given permission to fly to Haiti after a previous ly planned trip was called off due to an outbreak of malaria.
The supermodel hosted star-studded catwalk shows as part of her Fashion For Relief campaign to aid recovery in the Caribbean country, which was struck by a massive tremor in January (10).
She was due to fly there in April (10) to distribute the donations she helped raise and lend a hand to survivors but the charity mission was scr apped after the mosquito-borne disease began spreading in the region.
But Campbell, who celebrated her 40th birthday in the south of France o n Saturday (22May10), has now been given the all-clear to travel to Haiti next month (Jun10).

HAMILTON CHARGED OVER ROAD STUNT

Racing driver LEWIS HAMILTON has been charged over a stunt he performed o n a public road ahead of the Australian Grand Prix in March (10).
The Formula One ace, dating Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger, was arrested by authorities who spotted him doing a ‘burn-out’ turn into a b usy street in a loaned Mercedes after a practice at the Albert Park circu it in Melbourne.
Hamilton has now been charged with "intentional loss of control of a mo tor vehicle". A hearing has been scheduled for 24 August (10) in the Melb ourne Magistrates’ Court - five days before he is to participate in the B elgian Grand Prix.

HILL SUFFERED AFTER DAY IN THE LIFE OF DIDDY

JONAH HILL struggled to focus on the first day of filming new comedy GET HIM TO THE GREEK after his co-star SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS insisted on showing the actor how to party like a superstar.
In the movie, a spin-off of Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Hill plays a rec ord company intern who is assigned by his boss (Combs) to look after Russ ell Brand’s wild rock star character Aldous Snow.
Rapper Combs decided to treat the Superbad star to a trip to Las Vegas on the eve of shooting - and the comedian admits he was left exhausted af ter a weekend in the life of the music mogul.
He says, "Diddy wanted to show me this (rock star) experience first han d before we started shooting, so we went to Vegas the weekend before we s tarted shooting, and if you’re gonna spend the next four months as the le ad of a new movie, you should probably spend the three days before restin g, instead of partying with Puff Daddy.
"It’s very surreal, you have to pretend to be a lot cooler than you are , for me!" But Hill was not quite prepared for some of Combs’ odd antics.
He explains, "I brought some friends from college with me, and he broug ht some of his friends. We’re in this nightclub, having this really genui ne conversation and he’d suddenly stand up and pull out a microphone and say, ‘Bad Boy’ to the whole nightclub, in the middle of the conversation! So I was like, I guess we’ll finish this later…!’"

WATSON CLEARS UP DATING RUMOURS

HARRY POTTER star EMMA WATSON has dismissed reports she’s dating Spanish rocker RAFAEL CEBRIAN, telling fans she is currently a single woman.
The actress was linked to drummer Cebrian after her split from longterm partner Jay Barrymore in March (10). She had been dating the financier s ince 2008.
But the 20 year old, who is currently studying at the prestigious Brown University in Rhode Island, insists Cebrian is just a friend she met at London’s Royal Academy Of Dramatic Art (RADA) years ago.

The country music queen decided to have some fun and thrill her gay fan s by showing up to a Dolly Double party in Santa Monica, California - and was stunned when she missed out on the top prize.

KEATING’S WIFE ‘FOUND SECRET PHONE’ TO CONFIRM AFFAIR

Irish singer RONAN KEATING’s wife accused the star of cheating on her aft er she found a secret mobile phone containing suggestive texts, according to a U.K. report.
The Boyzone singer stunned fans by announcing his split from wife of 12 years Yvonne earlier this week (begs17May10).
A representative for the pair, who have three children, insisted the sp lit was "amicable", but the star has been hit with rumours suggesting he had a fling with a dancer on his tour last year (09).

MICHAELS’ REP REASSURES FANS OF ROCKER’S RECOVERY

BRET MICHAELS’ rep has ensured fans the star will not take any "risks" to get back to work after he was hit by a barrage of life-threatening ailme nts over recent weeks.
The Poison star was discharged from hospital last month (Apr10) after s uffering a brain haemorrhage, only to be taken back into medical care in May (10) after a mini-stroke. While treating him, doctors discovered he h ad a hole in his heart.
But despite the continued health battle, Michaels is adamant he wants t o participate in the final episode of Donald Trump’s reality TV competiti on on Sunday (23May10), with his rep Jann Elias saying earlier this week (begs17May10), "As far as I know, Bret will be there unless his doctors t ell him otherwise. We’re cautiously optimistic that he will attend the fi nale. But ultimately, it’s up to his doctors." Now Elias has taken to the rocker’s website to insist Michaels isn’t pu shing himself, and that he has the best people around him.
The spokesperson writes, "Bret is not only our boss but a great friend to all of us and his health is our main concern. That being said, Bret is a very passionate person and refuses to live his life curled up in a bal l wondering if or when something else might happen.
"As his friends and staff we are all making sure that he is not taking any undo risks (sic) and we are certainly taking every precaution possibl e to (ensure) his health and well being. If and when something else occur s we will deal with it at that time. Hopefully, it will be a very long ti me before we have to deal with anything like this again."
