British singer CHERYL COLE has begun divorce proceedings to end her marri age to ASHLEY COLE following allegations the soccer star cheated on her w ith a number of women.
The Girls Aloud beauty wed the England international in July 2006 but t heir marriage was rocked in 2008 when hairdresser Aimee Walton claimed sh e had spent the night with the sportsman.
Cole battled through the fallout in a desperate bid to save her marriag e - but further allegations emerged in February (10) linking her husband to four more women.
The singer subsequently walked out on her husband of four years, announ cing their separation. And now Cole has begun legal proceedings to make t he split official, with her lawyers filing papers at London’s High Court on Tuesday (25May10), according to Britain’s The Sun newspaper.
The documents cite the soccer player’s "unreasonable behaviour" in Cole ’s petition to end the marriage, and claim that when the singer "put it t o him that he had been unfaithful," the sportsman "admitted it".
Cole has reportedly asked for a quick divorce, to be finalised before h er estranged husband flies to South Africa next month (Jun10) for the sta rt of the soccer World Cup. She will also let her former partner keep the ir marital home in Surrey, England and not demand any financial support, according to The Sun.
A source tells publication, "She wants a completely clean break with no malice or wrangling over property or money, Cheryl will not take one pen ny of Ashley’s money. The house means nothing to her. She only moved ther e because it was important to be near Ashley’s training ground. Cheryl is giving the house to him."

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY’s ex-wife HEATHER MILLS could become the latest celebr ity to adopt - the former model is considering taking on another child.
The reality TV star has a six-year-old daughter, Beatrice, with the Bea tles legend - who she divorced in 2008.
Mills hasn’t ruled out adding to her brood - but she’s adamant she will adopt rather than fall pregnant, because she doesn’t want to overpopulat e the world.
She says, "I wouldn’t have another child because the world is already t oo overpopulated but I might adopt one."

Oscar-winner JULIETTE BINOCHE is refusing to fight the ageing process wit h Botox injections - insisting the wrinkle-freezing jabs would limit her acting abilities.
The 46 year old is determined to grow old gracefully because she’s conv inced battling ageing "doesn’t work".
And although she appreciates the fear women feel as they watch their lo oks fade, Binoche is adamant cosmetic procedures would be to the detrimen t of her screen career.
She says, "Fighting the ageing process just doesn’t work. I think that actresses, ultimately, are responsible for the faces we give to women.

Comic RUSSELL BRAND is convinced his rise to stardom was delayed because his addiction to heroin stopped him taking his career seriously.
The funnyman landed a series of major acting roles after appearing in 2 007’s St Trinian’s, starring in films including Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Bedtime Stories.
And Brand is convinced he could have reached international fame earlier if he hadn’t become hooked on drugs.
He tells Britain’s The Sun, "If you’re addicted to heroin it takes up a n awful lot of your time. You have to get the heroin, take the heroin, fa ll asleep because of the heroin, then more heroin. So I think I was unabl e to (become famous) because I was involved in a lot of other time-consum ing things. I think that’s the simple answer.
"I was a petty criminal and drug addict for a long while and if you’re a drug addict it’s very difficult to succeed in anything".

SOPHIA BUSH has revealed she and her ONE TREE HILL co-star AUSTIN NICHOLS have been dating for the last four years.

The title of supermodel KAREN ELSON’s debut album was inspired by a cruel taunt fired at her by bullies when she was a teenager.

She tells Spinner.com, "It was definitely a mean thing… At 14, it’s n ot cool to be the scrawny ghost who walks. The connotation of that as a t eenager was, you’re really pale, you’re really gawky - you’re a ghost." Elson’s album is called The Ghost Who Walks.

SCOTT WEILAND would still be married to former model MARY FORSBERG if she had agreed to counselling when the couple was trying to save its marriag e, according to the rock star.
The Stone Temple Pilots frontman claims he went out of his way to keep his family together - even agreeing to move out of his home and live in a "s**hole apartment" to give his wife some space.
But in a new Spin magazine interview, the rocker claims his ex wasn’t a s willing as he was.
He says, "I didn’t mind sacrificing to be able to see my kids all the t ime. But then I’d be watching TV there, and she’d walk out the bath, and it would just… freak me out. I don’t know if she was trying to f**k wit h me or not.
"I would have stayed with her forever if she was willing to go to couns elling. I could own up to my stuff, but she wasn’t there yet. Now she’s t here and… someone else gets the rewards." Weiland and Forsberg split in 2007 after the former model infamously se t fire to her then-husband’s clothes outside their home following a hotel fight.
Last year (09), Forsberg released her memoirs, Fall To Pieces, and reve aled all about her turbulent eight-year marriage, drug use and bipolar di sorder.
Upon the book’s release, her former husband released a statement, in wh ich he insisted he wouldn’t be reading it. He said, "My love for her (For sberg) will never end. We just forgot how to be friends. She has now chos en a public career and one that brings both accolades and public scrutiny …. All I ask is to not see her cry." Forsberg reveals she and her ex are now back on good terms and recently went camping with one of their two kids.

RONNIE WOOD has laughed off reports he has been dropped from THE ROLLING STONES line-up, amid his battle with booze.
The guitarist has been dogged by rumours his role in the rock supergrou p is in jeopardy because of his alcohol abuse issues, and fans were left stunned when the band’s official website listed Wood as a member from 197 6-2010.
The site editors have since altered the piece and now Wood’s status in the band reads "1976-present".
Now the rocker has spoken out to confirm he has not left the Stones, de spite working on the reunion of The Faces and battling his booze demons.
He tells Britain’s Daily Mail, "The Stones are great about The Faces. T hey are encouraging. In the downtime between The Stones’ activity, you mi ght as well do something constructive and keep the chops going." Earlier this week (beg24May10) The Rolling Stones’ drummer Charlie Watt s was also rumoured to be leaving the group, but the band’s representativ e has since issued a denial, saying, "We would like to make it clear that drummer Charlie Watts has not left The Rolling Stones."

The members of SLIPKNOT removed their famous masks for a 10-minute video press conference tribute to late bass player PAUL GRAY on Tuesday (25May1 0).
The bassist’s bandmates joined Gray’s siblings and his pregnant wife Br enna for the emotional roundtable, which aired on uStream.tv moments ago.
Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor started the hastily-arranged conference by stating, "The only way I can sum up Paul Gray is love." Other bandmates described Gray as the "essence of Slipknot," "a really great friend and a great person".
The late rocker’s brothers also paid tribute to the bass player, who wa s found dead in a suburban Des Moines, Iowa hotel room on Monday (24May10 ), and the star’s pregnant wife concluded the press conference.
She said her husband was "an amazing person and I just want people to r emember him for just that, and his daughter will remember him for the way he was." Brenna Gray thanked fans for their support.
Police are still investigating Gray’s death but suspect no foul play. A n autopsy has failed to determine the cause of death. Officials are now a waiting the results of toxicology tests.

ADRIEN BRODY has lost his passion for goat farming after a disturbing gay rape episode.
The movie star reveals his ex-girlfriend talked him into buying goats a s pets when he bought a New York state farm, but he was conned into buyin g two males when he asked for females.
And Brody quickly realised that one of the goats was gay - and the othe r was terrified.
He explains, "The more well-endowed goat took a liking to the other one and I swear it was traumatic. There was a lot of crying and goat noises and I felt incredibly guilty and I didn’t know what to do. I had homosexu al goats." The actor admits the goat love got the better of him and he had to let his odd pets go.
He adds, "It’s best when you have goats that are that gay to just let t hem free… because I felt that they were in captivity and the one was r eceiving a lot of aggression on the other one’s behalf… so I sent them off to Sonoma (California)." The Pianist star now only has roosters and chickens on his "gentleman’s farm".

PATRICK SWAYZE’s widow has signed up to help the seriously and terminally -ill as part of a regular U.S. TV spot.
Lisa Niemi, who nursed the Ghost star through his final days as he batt led pancreatic cancer, has been added to the Lifechangers team on TV news show Extra.
Her first assignment was to help a young woman fighting blood disease M DS, advising her of the questions to ask doctors to make sure she receive d the best care available.
Niemi says, "For all of my husband’s illness, I’d remember things he ha d forgotten. He thought he lost his appetite, but I said, ‘No honey, that isn’t the way it worked. I had lists. I had the medications. I knew just how much he needed, the what, when, where and why.
"I was an advocate for Patrick because I didn’t know any other way to b e. But, during that time, I learned that getting the right help involves asking the right questions, and sometimes that’s the hardest thing for th e patient to do." Niemi urges the sick to prepare their questions in advance, take notes during doctor visits and be vocal about any changes.

Funnyman JON LOVITZ is facing a breach of contract lawsuit from bosses at the Los Angeles Dodgers for allegedly failing to pay for three premium s eats he purchased.
The Stepford Wives star reportedly bought three ‘Dugout Club’ seats two years ago for upcoming seasons, but executives at Dodgers Stadium claim the star has fallen behind in his payments.
They filed suit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday (24May10), reve aling they cancelled Lovitz’s seats in April (10) because of non-payment for the current season.
The papers, obtained by celebrity blogger Perez Hilton, state, "On or a bout April 20, 2010, Plaintiff gave written notice to Defendants… that the agreement was cancelled for nonpayment." Lovitz allegedly owes $95,400 (=C2=A363,600), and the L.A. Dodgers’ off icials are also seeking costs.

Actress CYNTHIA NIXON has urged lawmakers in New York to prioritise the l egalisation of same-sex marriage because she is desperate to wed her lesb ian lover CHRISTINE MARINONI in her hometown.
The Sex and the City star has been engaged to education activist Marino ni for one year and she admits her dream wedding would take place in the Big Apple.
But Nixon is not against the idea of exchanging vows in another state, if she is left with no other options.
She says, "We’re not gonna wait forever for New York, we’re trying to g et New York to get its act together but if we have to we’ll go somewhere else. But ideally we’d like to do it at home." Nixon announced her engagement at a gay rights rally in New York last y ear (09), revealing they would soon be walking down the aisle.

Embattled actress LINDSAY LOHAN wasn’t lying when she told a Los Angeles judge she had a movie lined up in Texas - she’s in negotiations to star i n a new film alongside WILLIE NELSON.
The country legend has set up his own production company with actor pal Kerry Wallum and the pair plans to cast the Mean Girls star in the firm’ s first film, The Dry Gulch Kid.
Nelson and Wallum’s Luck Films company is based in Luck, Texas.
The two pals plan to produce three to five films a year, each costing $ 3 million (=C2=A32 million) or less.
Wallum tells WENN, "We are in negotiations with Lindsay and look forwar d to possibly working with her. The Dry Gulch Kid is a really good story and the film will feature myself, Willie Nelson and a host of other well- known names." In court on Monday (24May10), Lohan’s lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley objec ted to restrictions placed on the actress, which will prevent her from le aving the Los Angeles area.
Lohan appeared before Judge Marsha Revel on Monday morning (24May10) - five days after she failed to appear at a mandatory hearing - and was ord ered to refrain from drinking or doing drugs for the foreseeable future.
The judge, who initially issued a warrant for the star’s arrest last Th ursday (20May10) after she failed to show up, told Lohan she could remain free on bail, but she must wear a SCRAM device on her ankle and submit t o random drug tests.
Judge Revel also insisted the actress must attend weekly alcohol educat ion classes.
The lawmaker ruled that Lohan risked jail if she failed to comply with any of the stipulations of her bail.
Holley pointed out that the restrictions would prevent Lohan from trave lling to Texas for a movie, but the judge was unsympathetic.
Wallum says, "I hope she was referring to our movie."
