NEWTON-JOHN’S FORMER LOVER DOESN’T WANT CONTACT
OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN’s former lover PATRICK MCDERMOTT has no plans to conta ct his ex-girlfriend after he was discovered alive and well in Mexico fiv e years after supposedly drowning in a boating accident.
McDermott vanished during a fishing trip in 2005 and was believed to ha ve perished at sea, but last year (09), reports surfaced that he had been traced to the Mexican fishing village of Sayulita, where he was working as a deckhand.
A private detective tracked down the Physical hitmaker’s ex-boyfriend - and confirmed his identity after McDermott sent him faxes, photographs a nd voice recordings.
Now private investigator Phil Klein, who was hired by a U.S. TV network to find the singer’s former partner, reveals McDermott has no plans to a pologise to Newton-John, who split from her lover the day before he disap peared.
Klein tells Australia’s Herald Sun newspaper, "Mr McDermott made it ver y clear that he has had no need for communication with anyone associated with her (Newton-John). He made that clear the day he broke up with her a nd through his counsel - his counsel says so."
