Former EURYTHMICS star DAVE STEWART has teamed up with JOSS STONE to reco rd a new cancer fight song.
Stewart penned Stand Up To Cancer to mark the second anniversary of the charity of the same name, and he has asked Stone to join him in the stud io for the anthem.
Violin virtuoso Ann Marie Calhoun also appears on the track.
Movie mogul Laura Ziskin, who co-founded the charity, says, "Dave has g iven us a powerful anthem which is a testament to all 12 million cancer s urvivors as well as a moving elegy to the millions we have lost from the disease." The rocker adds, "This song is something I hope will inspire conviction while also acknowledging the loss caused by this merciless disease. I en courage everyone who has been touched by cancer to listen to this anthem.
