GLEE STARS BACK AT THE TOP OF U.S. CHARTS
The cast of GLEE has stormed back to the top of the U.S. album charts wit h a new compilation.
Glee - The Music Volume 3: Showstoppers debuts at number one on the new Billboard 200 countdown with 136,000 sales.
The cast claimed its first number one recently with seven-song EP The P ower of Madonna.
The new soundtrack album outsold The Rolling Stones’ Exile on Main Stre et remastered re-release by exactly 60,000 copies. The classic 1972 album debuts at two.
Glee’s stars also dominate the new singles chart with six new entries i n the top 100, including Matthew Morrison and Neil Patrick Harris’ rendit ion of Aerosmith’s Dream On, which debuts at 13.
But the track won’t be the highest entry when the official chart is rel eased on Thursday (27May10) - that honour belongs to Miley Cyrus, who deb uts Can’t Be Tamed at four.
Back to the new album chart and new entries from Black Keys (Brothers), Damian Marley and Nas (Distant Relatives) hit the top five at three and five, respectively. Last week’s number one album, My World 2.0 by Justin Bieber, falls to four.
