OSBOURNE SONG CHRONICLE’S REAL-LIFE MERCY KILLING
OZZY OSBOURNE has confirmed new song LATIMER’S MERCY was inspired by a re al-life farmer who killed his suffering daughter in 1993.
At a press conference launching his new album Scream in Canada last wee k (ends21May10), the rocker told gathered reporters that the song chronic les Saskatchewan farmer Robert Latimer’s decision to end his disabled dau ghter’s life.
Latimer was convicted of second-degree murder.
Osbourne told Canada’s CanWest News Service, "It must be a very difficu lt thing when you give birth to a child that is so messed up, she doesn’t have any quality of life… seeing her go through pain and agony." (KL/W
