GAGA TESTED FOR LUPUS
LADY GAGA has undergone testing to determine if she suffers from lupus, t he genetic disease which killed her aunt.
The Poker Face singer has sought medical advice for a string of health problems in the last year (09), including breathing difficulties, blurred vision, stress and headaches.
She has since been tested for lupus, which causes the immune system to attack the body and which killed her father’s sister Joanne when she was 19 - but Gaga does not want her loyal fans to be concerned about her heal th.
She tells Britain’s The Times, "Yes (I have been tested). But I don’t w ant anyone to be worried… I have heart palpitations… but it’s OK. It’ s just from fatigue and other things. I’m very connected to my aunt, Joan ne, who died of lupus. It’s a very personal thing. I don’t want my fans t o be worried about me." And the 24 year old admits she has been taking pills to help her deal w ith the pressures of fame: "(I use) prescription medicine. I can’t contro l my thoughts at all. I’m tortured. But I like that… It’s good to be to rtured. The thoughts are unstoppable - but so is the music. It comes to m e constantly."
