WRIGHT UPSET THAT COUNTRY STARS HAVEN’T EMBRACED HER
Gay country singer CHELY WRIGHT is "disappointed" that her peers seem to have turned her back on her after she became the first mainstream star to ‘come out’ as a lesbian.
The Single White Female stunned the country world last month (Apr10) wh en she first revealed she was a lesbian while promoting her memoir Like M e - and only two stars have offered her their support since she ‘came out ‘.
She says, "They all have my email and it’s been a little disappointing that I haven’t heard from more.
"That said, I’ve had hundreds of emails and phone calls and text messag es from the country community at large… The response has been overwhelm ing in support… and people are coming out on my Facebook page (online).
