FOLK STARS REVISIT NASH ALBUM FOR TRIBUTE

FLEET FOXES star ROBIN PECKNOLD, the RACONTEURS’ BRENDAN BENSON and BONNI E ‘PRINCE’ BILLY have teamed up to record a tribute to one of their favou rite albums.
The trio has recorded tracks for a revamp of Graham Nash’s Songs For Be ginners - to mark the album’s 40th anniversary.
The Crosby, Stills and Nash star recorded the album following the split of his band and his relationship with Joni Mitchell - and it became a cl assic.
Tracks included Chicago - about a 1968 riot between protesters and sold iers at the Chicago Democratic National Convention - and I Used to Be Kin g, which Nash wrote about his soured relationship with Mitchell.
Benson, Pecknold and Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy will all appear on Be Yourse lf: A Tribute to Graham Nash’s Songs for Beginners, when it’s released ne xt week (25May10).
The brains behind the project is Nash’s daughter Nile, who contributes her renditions of We Can Change the World and Wounded Bird to the album.
