JOY DIVISION EXHIBITION TO MARK CURTIS’ DEATH ANNIVERSARY
Fans of defunct rockers JOY DIVISION can delve into the band’s history wi th an upcoming exhibition honouring late frontman IAN CURTIS.
Unknown Pleasures, a display of documents and memorabilia, will go on s how from July (10) in Macclesfield, England, where the frontman grew up.
As well as the exhibition, fans will also be able to take a walking tou r around the town and see the home Curtis shared with his wife, as well a s a number of pubs and clubs the group performed in.
The band dissolved following Curtis’ suicide on 18 May 1980. His former bandmate Peter Hook is playing a special gig on Tuesday (18May10) to mar k the 30th anniversary of his pal’s death.
