BRAND SMARTS OVER BARBIE BOTTOM PROTEST
RUSSELL BRAND still smarts at the memory of putting a Barbie doll up his bottom during a comedy protest in London.
The funnyman reveals the odd gesture was part of a protest against cons umerism and thought a doll would represent the "Oppression of women, the stereotype of femininity, the commercialisation of sexuality", but he adm its he didn’t think the whole idea through and was just left with a very sore bottom.
Brand tells Playboy magazine, "What I learned from the experience, at l east in hindsight, is that if you’re going to make a satirical point invo lving putting things in your rectum, be selective. Don’t take requests fr om the audience.
"I ultimately went with a Barbie doll because of the shape. It goes in easier."
