A representative for CHRISTIE BRINKLEY has dismissed rumours the former s upermodel checked into a cosmetic surgery clinic at the same time as her daughter ALEXA RAY JOEL to undergo a facelift.
Brinkley’s daughter with musician Billy Joel was admitted to the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City earlier this month (Apr10) for an elective rhinoplasty procedure, and her mother was rumoured to have checked in th e previous day for facial surgery.
But a spokeswoman for the 56 year old is adamant she wasn’t at the hosp ital for an operation.
The rep tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "Alexa had breathin g difficulties due to a deviated septum and decided to correct the appear ance of her nose at the same time. As far as Christie is concerned, she w as at Lenox Hill to support her daughter, and throughout her career peopl e have speculated that she’s done this or that, which she always chooses to take as a compliment."

JUSTIN BARTHA’s Broadway performance of LEND ME A TENOR on Tuesday (27Apr 10) was disrupted by a furry stage-invader - a mouse panicked the cast by scuttling across the stage in front of the audience.
The Hangover star was in the middle of a scene with co-star Tony Shalho ub at New York’s Music Box theatre, when the audience began gasping and l aughing as the tiny creature ran into view.
Quick-thinking Bartha ad-libbed a line, telling the crowd, "This hotel has mice," while the Monk star picked up a prop telephone and called in a mock complaint to the front desk, according to New York Post gossip colu mn Page Six.

Wrestler-turned-actress CHYNA has been accused of viciously attacking a f riend at a motel on Saturday (24Apr10), according to a U.S. report.
Chyna, real name Joanie Laurer, has allegedly been named in a battery i nvestigation by officials at the Los Angeles Police Department.
Gabriela Targos, who claims she has been friends with the star for year s, alleges Laurer attacked her for no reason at a motel in Sherman Oaks, California.
Targos tells TMZ.com the former wrestler allegedly punched her in the f ace, threatened to kill her and pulled her by the hair.
She claims she then managed to escape and locate nearby police, who too k down a report.

STEVE CARELL has confirmed he will quit hit comedy show THE OFFICE after one more season.
The actor has played embarrassing boss Michael Scott on the series sinc e 2005, in a role based on Ricky Gervais’ original star turn in the Briti sh version of the show.
But Carell, who won a Golden Globe for the role in 2006, admits the upc oming seventh season of The Office will probably be his last.
In an interview with BBC Radio, he says, "(My) contract (runs) through next season." And when asked whether he will continue with the show after that, he re plies, "I don’t think so. That will probably be my last year." (LR/WNWC/Z

LINDSAY LOHAN has defended a controversial new photoshoot in which she po ses with a gun to her mouth, insisting the risque snaps are "art".
The Mean Girls star can be seen looking into the camera while resting t he weapon on her lips in one of the shots, which she posted on her Twitte r.com page on Wednesday (28Apr10).
In another, Lohan holds a pistol while pretending to choke her photogra pher, Tyler Shields.
Some of her followers complained about the pictures, with one user urgi ng Lohan to: "Try to keep it classy, not more softcore porn with some guy draped over you." But the 23 year old remained adamant the shoot was tasteful, ‘tweeting’ to her fans, "It’s not soft core porn hunny (sic), it’s called ART." Shields, who captured the star for his upcoming book The Dirty Side of Glamor, writes in a post on his official site, "Everyone has an idea of L indsay Lohan and last night I had the pleasure of working with her. Oscar-nominated screenwriter FURIO SCARPELLI has died at the age of 90.
Scarpelli, best known for his work on 1966 western The Good, The Bad An d The Ugly, passed away on Wednesday (28Apr10) at his home in Rome, Italy after a long battle with heart problems.
He famously teamed up with another screenwriter, Agenore Incrocci, for the bulk of his writing duties, forming the duo Age & Scarpelli.
The pair, who worked on 120 films together, received two joint Academy Awards nominations in the 1960s, for The Organizer and Casanova ‘70. In 1 995 Scarpelli received his third Oscar nomination for Il Postino (The Pos tman), which he wrote with his son Giacomo.
Scarpelli is survived by his wife and two sons.

Former porn star JENNA JAMESON has reportedly passed a drug test in a bid to disprove her boyfriend TITO ORTIZ’s claims she’s hooked on painkiller s.
The mixed martial arts champion accused Jameson of harbouring a secret prescription drug addiction after he was arrested on domestic violence ch arges at the couple’s California home on Monday (26Apr10).
Ortiz claimed he confronted her because he believed she was high on pai nkiller OxyContin.
Jameson dismissed his allegations as false, claiming Ortiz attacked her after she said "something very hurtful to his ego" - and she is said to have agreed to a drug test on Tuesday (27Apr10) to prove she wasn’t under the influence during the alleged altercation.
According to TMZ.com, Jameson tested negative for 10 major drugs in the screening, administered by officials at the American Toxicology Inc. lab oratory in Las Vegas.
Speaking about the results, the star tells TMZ.com, "I am definitely no t addicted to OxyContin or any drug." Her attorney adds, "The lab tests clearly exonerate Jenna Jameson of an y hint, iota, or suggestion that she ingested or was under the influence of any opiates or controlled substances."

Actress DOROTHY PROVINE has died after a battle with emphysema.
The star passed away on Sunday (25Apr10) at a hospice in Bremerton, Was hington at the age of 75, reports Reuters.
Her career began after she landed the title role in 1958’s The Bonnie P arker Story - just three days after moving from a small town in South Dak ota to Hollywood.
She later went on to star in The 30 Foot Bride of Candy Rock with Lou C ostello, and played Jack Lemmon’s wife in Good Neighbor Sam.
Provine also appeared in 1963 comedy It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World as we ll as Live Fast, Die Young and Never a Dull Moment, opposite Dick Van Dyk e.
She is survived by her husband, TV director Robert Day.

UMA THURMAN almost quit acting to look after her children - but vowed to keep "fighting" to preserve her Hollywood career.
The Pulp Fiction star turns 40 on Thursday (29Apr10) and has spoken out about how motherhood has affected her movie-making plans.
Thurman has two children from her former marriage to Ethan Hawke - daug hter Maya, 11, and eight-year-old son Levon - and admits she struggles to juggle her film career with being a mum.

Rapper LUDACRIS has agreed to judge a talent contest organised by the bos ses of U.S. condom firm Trojan.
The How Low hitmaker will be part of a panel of experts who will pick a winner in an upcoming rapping challenge - and hand over $5,000 (=C2=A33, 125).

Relatives of late hip-hop star GURU are fuming after they learned of the rapper’s death through the press - a day after his passing.
The music legend, real name Keith Elam, lost his cancer battle on 19 Ap ril (10) in a New York medical facility. He had been in a coma since Febr uary (10).
But Guru’s sister Patricia is upset the star’s business partner and col laborator Solar failed to notify his relatives, including the rapper’s so n KC, who heard the tragic news on the radio.
She tells MTV News, "(My son) Justin found out on the internet and call ed me. I had to call my dad. (Guru’s nine-year-old son) KC found out ridi ng in the car, hearing it on the radio. That’s not right if you care abou t someone. That’s not how you treat them.
"My brother would never have wanted us to find out that way. Never in a million years. Especially his son." Patricia is also angry with the hospital authorities who released Guru’ s body to Solar, insisting her beloved sibling should have been returned to his family.
She adds, "The hospital released the body in (Solar’s) care. I don’t kn ow how it was determined what funeral home it would go to. My son Justin was looking online and saw something that the body was going to be cremat ed. My father was calling the hospital looking for the body and they were like, ‘We released it to the health-care proxy.’ "Luckily my other brother happened to be in New York on something unrel ated and he started calling funeral homes in the area, if you can imagine .. Fortunately the third one he called was the right one. He said, ‘Listen , I’m the brother of Keith Elam, do not release that body to anyone but m e.’ Thankfully he was able to get there in time." Guru’s body has since been cremated and his family is planning a privat e memorial service.

Rockers THE WHO fear they’ve taken their final bow - because they’re stru ggling to stage shows with PETE TOWNSHEND’s hearing problems.
The 64 year old has suffered from partial deafness and tinnitus for man y years, and admits the condition is now so bad he is having to cut back the amount of time he spends on stage and in the recording studio.
He is testing new in-ear monitors, which help ease his tinnitus - but f rontman Roger Daltrey fears their performance in London last month (Mar10 ) could be their last, if Townshend’s health problems persist.
Daltrey tells Uncut magazine, "If carrying on is going to mean Pete goi ng deaf, let’s stop now. Entering old age is a silent world - nothing is worth that.
"That (last month’s concert) might have been the last gig. I honestly d on’t know. We’re trying to deal with issues that we have never dealt with before.
"Our bodies are beginning to give up on us. I’ve had voice problems in the past year that I’ve managed to sort out and I’m really enjoying singi ng again but you have to be realistic - I am 66 years old." (CL/WNTEX/PAW
