MEL GIBSON’s ex-girlfriend OKSANA GRIGORIEVA has confirmed reports the co uple has split at a press conference in her native Russia.
The singer/songwriter was promoting an upcoming concert in Moscow on Mo nday (19Apr10) when she went public with the break-up news.
She told reporters, "I can tell you that… we have split up, suddenly and recently. Unfortunately, I cannot give you the reason. But you will f ind out everything quite soon.
"We split up by mutual consent and we will raise our daughter together.
She is currently with my mother in my Los Angeles home." The pianist gave birth to Gibson’s daughter Lucia in October (09).

Actress TARA REID has reportedly called off her engagement to businessman boyfriend MICHAEL AXTMANN - after changing her status on social networki ng website Facebook to "single".
The American Pie star has been dating Axtmann since early last year (09 ), and the Internet entrepreneur proposed during a night out in Los Angel es in January (10).
The pair was reported to be planning a small summer (10) wedding, but R eid has now taken to the internet to alter her relationship status, accor ding to celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.

Newsman LARRY KING and his wife have called off their divorce.
The CNN anchorman’s lawyer Dennis Wasser has confirmed his client and c ountry singer Shawn Southwick are undergoing counselling in a bid to repa ir their broken marriage.
Both filed for divorce last week (ends16Apr10), citing irreconcilable d ifferences.
Wasser previously dismissed reports the couple was attempting to salvag e its 13-year marriage, and on Monday (19Apr10) he admitted he wasn’t sur e if the pair was still divorcing.
Now, he tells TMZ.com, "Larry and Shawn met with the counsellor today ( 19Apr10). It was decided that there will be no divorce activity for two w eeks as several issues need to be discussed and resolved." Southwick is King’s seventh wife. The couple has two sons, aged 11 and nine.

The actress, who gave birth to baby Finn just before starting work on U p in the Air in 2009, is due in October (10), according to In Touch magaz ine.
The baby news has forced Farmiga, who is married to Renn Hawkey, to giv e up a role as Gerard Butler’s wife in upcoming movie Machine Gun Preache r.
An insider tells the publication, "The role would have meant travelling to Africa this summer, but because her baby is due in the fall, she woul d have been too far along to make the trip." MO’NIQUE’s parents addressed the family’s darkest hour on TV show OPRAH o n Monday (19Apr10), revealing they wished their daughter had come to them with her plans to go public about her child molestation hell.
The Oscar winner exposed her brother Gerald as a teenage sexual predato r last year (09) when she told the media how she tapped into the mind of cruel Mary Jones for her role in Precious, and the big reveal opened up a 30-year-old nightmare for her folks Alice and Steven Imes.
Appearing with their disgraced son, who confessed to inappropriate beha viour with his sister when he was 13 and she was eight, the Imeses told O prah they thought the matter had been addressed when they temporarily ask ed Gerald to leave the family home after Mo’Nique told them her older bro ther had "tried to lay on top of me" when she was 15.
Alice Imes said, "I felt hurt for both of my kids… I let her (Mo’Niqu e) know that I believed her. I said, ‘Mo’Nique, I understand you don’t wa nna go back (to) when it (sexual assault) was. Do you feel like, to clear yourself, you need to go and we can talk to someone other than myself, t hat you can cleanse and let this out.’ She said, ‘No mom, I’m fine; I jus t want to let you know that this happened.’" Imes now regrets not revisiting the sexual assault with her daughter af ter banished Gerald returned to the family home - but she was hurt when M o’Nique decided to go public with the family’s secret on national TV.
She added, "We have always been a close family… I wasn’t upset, but m y thought was, ‘As a family such as we were, this is something I felt tha t should have been discussed first privately within the family. Now, if y ou wanna tell the world, but give us a chance (sic).
"My question is, ‘You are older now, we are older now, maybe as a famil y we can better understand what help was really needed.’ "I only hope, with doing this, this can cleanse her hurt." Imes also revealed she and her daughter hadn’t spoken for more than two years, and that Mo’Nique had "separated herself" from the family over an other matter.

Rapper FOXY BROWN showed her appreciation for her fans’ support during he r eight-month prison stint by replying to every letter she received behin d bars.
The star began serving a year-long sentence at New York’s notorious Rik ers Island detention centre in September, 2007 following her conviction f or a fight with two manicurists.
She walked free in April, 2008 after eight months, but admits she would n’t have made it through the tough time without the kind words of support from her devotees.
Marking the two year anniversary of her release with a post on Twitter.

Cult rockers PAVEMENT brought the 2010 Coachella Music & Arts Festival in Indio, California to a close by playing their first major show in the U.
S. in more than 10 years.
The band took to the stage on Sunday (18Apr10), treating fans to a 70-m inute set, playing a variety of fan favourites, including Shady Lane, Cut Your Hair and Range Life.
Pavement’s U.S. return - the group’s first since their split in 1999 - was also marked by Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke, who dedicated his song Atoms For Peace to the veteran rockers as he performed with his side band of the same name on a different stage.
The Gorillaz thrilled fans by reuniting former The Clash members Paul S imonon and Mick Jones onstage - the musicians behind Damon Albarn’s anima ted band appeared in sailors’ costumes.
The former Blur frontman’s set was boosted by a handful of special gues ts - Bobby Womack joined the band for Stylo, while rap legends De La Soul came on stage for the encore performance of Feel Good Inc.
The final day of the annual festival also saw a rare appearance by soul icon Sly Stone - but the singer proved to be unpopular with fans by arri ving five hours late and playing a problematic set that was plagued by so und issues.

The movie remake of FOOTLOOSE could be star-less by the end of the month if producers can’t settle a scheduling conflict with singer/dancer JULIAN NE HOUGH.
She’s set to follow in the footsteps of her one-time co-star Chace Craw ford and drop out of the movie, due to "scheduling difficulties".
The remake of the 1984 classic was thrown into jeopardy after Crawford suddenly quit the project earlier this month (Apr10), due to scheduling c onflicts of his own.
Crawford signed on to play the part made famous by Kevin Bacon in the f ilm after Zac Efron pulled out last year (09).
And now country singer Hough admits she may have to pull out of the rem ake too.
She tells UsMagazine.com, "It sucks. His (Crawford) schedule couldn’t w ork because of Gossip Girl and mine almost didn’t work because of (TV sho w) Dancing with the Stars, so we’re still actually working on mine to see if I can do it." Pop star MIKA refused to let the volcanic ash storm which has brought muc h of Europe to a standstill wreck his concert plans in Spain on Sunday (1 8Apr10) - he hired a fleet of cars to get him and his band from Paris, Fr ance to Barcelona.
The Grace Kelly hitmaker had to scrap a show in Lisbon, Portugal when a ll flights from France were grounded following the Iceland volcano blast on Thursday (15Apr10), which left a cloud of ash floating in the skies ab ove the continent.
In a tweet to fans, Mika posted, "Volcano freak out. This is bad." He then hired cars to make sure he didn’t have to postpone a second sho w on his European tour.
More than 63,000 flights were cancelled as a result of the volcano chao s, keeping over six million people on the ground. The planes are expected to stay grounded until Tuesday (20Apr10).

U.S. reality TV star SHAYNE LAMAS has stunned family and friends by marry ing her boyfriend of just a day in Las Vegas.
According to TMZ.com, the daughter of actor Lorenzo Lamas eloped and we d Nik Richie at the Little White Wedding Chapel, where Britney Spears exc hanged vows with childhood friend Jason Alexander in 2004, only to have t he marriage annulled days later.

Artist-turned-moviemaker JULIAN SCHNABEL is planning a major exhibition o f DENNIS HOPPER’s works to celebrate the movie star as he battles cancer.
The Hopper show is slated to open at Los Angeles’ Museum of Contemporar y Art on 11 July (10).
The Easy Rider star, 73, has advanced prostate cancer and reports sugge st the actor is close to death.

Modelling icon LAUREN HUTTON once turned down a lucrative cigarette ad de al, even though she was a smoker - because she didn’t want to "push" nico tine on young girls.
The 66-year-old fashion queen reveals she was once offered the chance t o become the face of Virginia Slims - and said no.
She tells the Los Angeles Times newspaper, "I’m the only model I know o f who refused to do cigarettes, even though I was a user. Virginia Slims wanted me to be their first model because I was a big deal, and I refused to do it.
"I’m a user, but I’m not a pusher. Those are two different things, and it was very easy to see this was being aimed at young girls." And it wasn’t the only thing conscientious Hutton refused to advertise - her dislike for fur almost cost her a once-in-a-lifetime shoot with top photographer Irving Penn.
She recalls, "This was the mid-to-late 60s, and I got to go to Paris fo r the first time… to do the collections for Vogue. They asked me to do a leopard-skin coat and I remember my heart going up and down to my feet, and I realised I couldn’t possibly put that on… I knew what a leopard was and how rare they were.
"I said to (editor) Polly (Mellen), ‘I can’t do this’. And she sort of puffed up. First Polly told Penn, and I’m cowering back there. Actually, I was starting to get some of my stuff together, because I figured I was going to be on my way back to New York.
"And Penn said, ‘That makes sense. I won’t shoot no matter who you put it (coat) on."

The world premiere of IRON MAN 2 has become the first major Hollywood cas ualty of the Icelandic volcano eruption - studio bosses have switched the movie’s debut from London to Los Angeles.
The cast of the action sequel, led by American stars Robert Downey, Jr.
, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mickey Rourke and Scarlett Johansson, was expected to fly to the U.K. for the big opening on 26 April (10).

However, British event organisers still hope to press ahead with plans for a special screening of Jon Favreau’s Iron Man 2 on the original premi ere date as the actors take to the red carpet in Hollywood.

Oscar winner MO’NIQUE’s brother has confessed to molesting the actress wh en he was 13 and she was eight.
Gerald Imes appeared on Oprah Winfrey’s TV show on Monday (19Apr10) to address allegations made by his famous sister.
The Precious star recently revealed she had banished her brother from h er life - because he refused to acknowledge her allegations that he sexua lly abused her as a child.
In a candid TV interview taped before the Academy Awards, Mo’Nique told U.S. broadcaster Barbara Walters her sibling sexually abused her from th e age of seven.
She said, "Sexual abuse can be someone touching your breasts, someone r ubbing your vagina, someone rubbing your behind, someone rubbing up again st you with their private parts." Mo’Nique, 42, told Walters she was too afraid to tell her parents of he r brother’s actions, and didn’t reveal all until she was 15.
Her folks immediately asked her brother to leave the house and he has b een largely estranged from his sister ever since - but she let him back i nto her life when her twins were born in 2005.
Mo’Nique admitted she has had an apology of sorts from her brother, who was jailed for sexually abusing another woman.
She explained, "(He said) if you think I did something wrong then I’m s orry." But she has had nothing to do with her brother since her twins were bor n: "He held one of the twins and at that moment I had a conversation with my brother, and we have not spoken since then." But now her sibling has accepted what he did in a bid to "bring back so me family unity".
He told Winfrey, "I’m here today to first acknowledge that I’ve been in denial for over 37 years… I did assault and inappropriately touch my s ister… and for that I apologise." Imes admitted he wasn’t angry when his sister went public with allegati ons he had molested her - he was proud.
He added, "I’m proud that she was finally able to get to a place that she could relinquish her pain… When she made the comment that I was the individual who contributed to her playing the (movie) role that she play ed so magnificently, I had to look at it and say, ‘Gee, I really understa nd her pain.’" Imes went on to state he was high on hard drugs when he molested his si ster and he himself had been sexually assaulted by members of their famil y.
He explained, "I did the drugs to hide my own pain, to hide my own fear s, to hide my own shame but then… I became a perpetrator… and I abuse d and betrayed the trust of another sibling, my sister." Mo’Nique gave Winfrey her personal blessing to conduct the emotional in terview, in which Imes also revealed he had personally apologised to anot her girl he sexually assaulted - and served time behind bars for his acti ons.
