DeGeneres recently discovered that she and the Material Girl are distan t cousins but was too busy to delve into her ancestry - so Kudrow, the br ains behind hit U.S. roots show Who Do You Think You Are?, did the work f or her.
Appearing on DeGeneres’ daytime show on Tuesday (20Apr10), the former F riends star revealed, "You’re 11th cousins (with Madonna). What you share is your 10th great grandfather, his name was Martin Aucoin, from France.
… He had two daughters, Jean… That’s your side. And another daughter, Michelle, and that gave rise to Madonna’s side, and they moved to Canada.
"Then your fifth great grandfather… he’s the one who moved the family to Louisiana in the late 1700s." A stunned DeGeneres said, "That’s pretty far back, that’s pretty amazin g."

LADY GAGA hired a top Hollywood fitness trainer to help her develop the b est body in pop.
The eccentric singer recruited Harley Pasternak last year after decidin g she wanted to tone up.
Pasternak has appeared on numerous TV shows and trained the cast of the X-Men and Twilight movies.
And the Canadian fitness guru insists GaGa is a model client. He tells InTouchWeekly.com: "Like most stars she doesn’t have a ton of time, so wh en she is with me she stays focused and never complains no matter how har d I push her.

Pirate rocker ADAM ANT has added a tribute to his former manager MALCOLM MCLAREN on his comeback album.
The Stand & Deliver hitmaker has confirmed reports he’s working on his first album in 15 years, and he’s dedicating one new song to ex-Adam & Th e Ants svengali McLaren, who lost his battle with cancer earlier this mon th (Apr10).
Ant, real name Stuart Goddard, tells NME.com that the track Who’s a Goo fy Bunny Then? was written with "surrogate father" McLaren in mind almost 30 years ago - and the music mogul’s passing prompted him to rework the tune.
The song will appear on Adam Ant Is The Blueblack Hussar in Marrying Th e Gunner’s Daughter, which features collaborations with former 3 Colours Red guitarist Chris McCormack, Marco Pirroni and "a member of Oasis". (KL

Rocker JIMMY SCHULMAN has been forced to pull out of 1980s heavy metal ac t HADES’ reunion due to a mystery illness.
The bassist joined his former bandmates for rehearsals last week (ends1 6Apr10), but fell ill and had to be hospitalised.
A spokesman for the band tells Blabbermouth.net, "It is with great regr et and sadness that we must tell you that our bassist, Jimmy Schulman, is currently in the hospital and will not be able to partake in our reunion shows as planned.
"Jimmy came to rehearsal last Thursday and said he felt very sick. Thin gs worsened after that and he missed our next three rehearsals because he was simply too sick to get out of bed… He has a very high fever and ha s been vomiting for days." Non-Fiction bass player Kevin Bolembach will replace Schulman on tour.

Representatives for pop punk PINK have dismissed reports the singer is pr egnant with her first child.
Pink fuelled speculation she was with child when she was recently spott ed sporting a suspicious belly bump.
She then posted a cryptic message on her Twitter.com blog last week (en ds16Apr10), which read, "Off to the gym. Lord knows when this 600 pound b aby comes out that I’ve been growing for 8 years, i better be strong and physically prepared!!!" But her publicist has come forward to insist she’s not pregnant.

COURTNEY LOVE is pleading with the media to stop quizzing the rocker abou t her late husband KURT COBAIN because she’s "sick" of talking about thei r short-lived marriage.
The Hole singer wed the Nirvana frontman in 1992 when she was pregnant with their daughter, Frances Bean Cobain, but tragedy struck when he was found dead in his Seattle, Washington home just two years later (94).
Love has been candid about her relationship with Cobain in the past - b ut she’s tired of answering reporters’ questions about what her late husb and would be like if he was still alive today.
She tells Britain’s NME magazine, "I am not his spokesperson on Earth. I don’t know what he’d be like now, he could be into society girls, he co uld be into fat girls, he could be homosexual. We don’t know, he died at 27." And Love admits she’s feeling even more lonely now she’s lost custody o f Frances, now 17: "I’m ultimately a widow and a single mother, who’s not even getting to be a mother right now. I am so alone, it’s freaky." The teenager was placed under the temporary guardianship of her paterna l grandmother and an aunt in December (09) after falling out with her mot her.
Love was subsequently slapped with a restraining order by a U.S. judge, preventing her from contacting her daughter until their next court date later this year (10).

A film inspired by the lifestory of ERROL FLYNN’s slain photojournalist s on SEAN is to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in France next month ( May10).
The remains of Sean Flynn are believed to be among those recently uncov ered in a mass grave in Cambodia - 30 years after he and a colleague went missing.
The two photographers were covering the Cambodian War for Time magazine when they were believed to have been captured by Khmer Rouge guerrillas.
Motivated by Flynn’s story, 21-year-old Brendan Moriarty wrote, produce d and directed the war adventure drama, The Road To Freedom, which was sh ot in Cambodia last year (09).
Moriarty, who grew up in Cambodia, tells WENN, "I was moved by true tal es of these brave journalists who disappeared. People will never remember them if someone doesn=E2=80=99t tell their stories." The film will have a screening in Los Angeles on 27 April (10) before i ts world premiere at Cannes.
Meanwhile, forensic experts are testing bones believed to be the remain s of Sean Flynn.

Veteran actress CHERYL LADD regrets not having more kids during her child bearing years, because she longs for a larger brood of six or seven.
The former Charlie’s Angles star has a daughter, Jordan, with ex-husban d actor Alan Ladd, and she is stepmum to her current husband, producer Br ian Russell’s daughter, Lindsay.
But Ladd, 58, insists she would expand her family many more times - if age wasn’t a factor.

A source tells WENN, "The wig is made entirely of human hair strands th at have been sewn separately into the wig base. The whole thing is the best that money can buy and cost around $10,000, so produc ers have assigned specific crew members to look after the wig and keep it groomed between shots." Hall, who is married to his Dexter co-star Jennifer Carpenter, is sched uled to start shooting season five of the serial killer drama series later this year (10).

LEONARD NIMOY has announced plans to retire from acting after 60 years in the movie business.
The Star Trek icon began his acting career in the early 1950s and rose to international stardom as Mr. Spock in the sci-fi series.
But now the 79 year old, who is currently starring on U.S. TV show Frin ge, has decided to give up working in front of the camera.
He says, "I’ve been doing this professionally for 60 years. I love the idea of going out on a positive note. I’ve had a great, great time." And he’s happy to let actor Zachary Quinto, who played Spock in last ye ar’s (09) Star Trek prequel, continue to portray the iconic character in the sci-fi franchise: "He’s a terrific actor, he looks the part, and it’s time to give him some space. And I’m very flattered the character will c ontinue." Nimoy passed the Spock character to the Heroes star in the film, playin g the Star Trek vulcan’s older self.

DAVID COPPERFIELD’s rape allegation nightmare is over - the ex-model who accused the illusionist of sexual misconduct has announced she’s dropping the case.
Lacey Carroll has revealed she’s "had enough" of the drama after Copper field was cleared of any wrongdoing at the beginning of the year (10).
She claimed Copperfield invited her to his private island in the Bahama s after meeting her at a show in 2007 - and raped her.
Her credibility was called into question in January (10) when Carroll w as charged with prostitution and federal prosecutors investigating her cl aims against Copperfield subsequently dropped the case.
Carroll is at the centre of a new investigation after she was questione d by Washington state police over allegations she tried to extort $2,000 (=C2=A31,250) from a businessman for sex.
An official police report suggests she told a businessman she would hav e intercourse with him for cash after performing oral sex on him in a hot el room in Bellevue, Washington on 2 December (09).
When he refused to pay, the woman complained to hotel staff she had bee n "taken advantage of." Carroll is also charged with filing a false police report.

MICHAEL DOUGLAS is a better golfer than ever thanks to his replaced knee.
The Falling Down star shattered his knee in a skiing accident years ago and finally underwent surgery last year (09) - and now he feels bionic o n the golf course.
He tells Men’s Journal magazine, "I severed the meniscus, the patella, and the anterior cruciate in my left knee. I skied with a big old brace f or years.

Former SUPERTRAMP frontman ROGER HODGSON has slammed the band’s decision to reunite for a 40th anniversary tour without him.
Rick Davies, who founded the progressive rock band with Hodgson, has an nounced plans for a 2010 tour, and Hodgson, who quit the group in 1983, i s furious he was never invited to take part.
The singer, who is currently midway through a solo tour, has released a s statement, dubbing the move "misleading and disrespectful".
It reads, "We=E2=80=99ve been told that they are billing the tour as th e 40th Anniversary tour of the band and we just find this very surprising , misleading and disrespectful of Roger since he is the only other member that was a part of Supertramp when he and Rick founded the band together 40 years ago.
"It would seem that you would want to invite the other co-founder and t he bass player of the classic line up for the 40th anniversary of the ban d. So, we=E2=80=99re really hoping it doesn=E2=80=99t create any confusio n in the marketplace or mislead anyone." Hodgson adds that he offered to join Davies onstage during gaps in his own tour schedule, but that he was snubbed.
The statement continues, "Roger thought he could join Supertramp for a few special concerts when he doesn=E2=80=99t have any scheduled shows… but (Davies’ agent) told us adamantly that would ‘never happen’." (IG/WNW

PEARL JAM star EDDIE VEDDER helped U.S. TV funnyman CONAN O’BRIEN celebra te his 47th birthday in style on Monday night (19Apr10) when he adapted a JOHN LENNON song for the comic onstage in Seattle, Washington.
The rocker was a surprise guest at O’Brien’s Legally Prohibited From Be ing Funny On Television tour in the city and took to the stage with a spe cial birthday song.
After performing Rise from his 2007 soundtrack to the film Into The Wil d, Vedder revamped Lennon’s Oh Yoko on a ukelele as Oh Conan - O’Brien’s nickname.
Vedder then invited Pearl Jam bandmate Mike McCready onto the stage for a rendition of The Who’s Baba O’Riley.
The band was the first musical act on O’Brien’s short-lived Tonight Sho w with Conan O’Brien, when it aired last summer (Jun09).

She says, "Mel… has directed several video clips for my songs. He has written lyrics for two of my songs and has always greatly supported me. He also gave me an incredible opportunity to become a producer of my own album. It doesn’t happen a lot these days." But the 45 year old is ditching her most famous moniker in favour of Co urtney Michelle Harrison - because the rocker feels "oppressed" by her st age name.
She tells Britain’s NME magazine, "We’ve all decided we don’t like her (Courtney Love) any more. We love her when she goes on stage but I don’t need her in the rest of my life.
"(Call me) Courtney Michelle. The name Courtney Love is a way to oppres s me."
