KISS have scrapped a major press conference in Los Angeles because one of the bandmates is seriously ill.
Details about the health crisis remain a mystery, and publicists are re fusing to reveal who is sick - but it’s serious enough to warrant the can cellation of the rock band’s House of Blues media event, scheduled for We dnesday afternoon (21Apr10).

BROOKE SHIELDS has hit out at her ex-husband ANDRE AGASSI for claiming sh e had a say in his tell-all autobiography - because the tennis ace refus ed to let her make changes to the book.
Agassi went public last year (09) with private details of his two-year marriage to the actress in his tome, Open.
Shields is planning her own memoir to put her side of their union acros s, insisting her former partner left a lot of details out - and she’s fum ing at his claims she vetted his book.
Shields tells Britain’s Easy Living magazine, "He made me sit in a room with his ghost writer and read what the writer had written.
"And of course he wouldn’t change anything I remembered differently, so I was like, why did I read it then? So you can tell everybody, ‘She read it.’? Which means, ‘She’s put her stamp of approval on it?’ I didn’t put my stamp of approval on anything. It wasn’t what I remembered.
"I don’t know why he wrote the book, I’m not sure he’s gotten the react ion he hoped for."

MELANIE GRIFFITH is preparing to make her movie comeback after years in t he Hollywood wilderness - she starts shooting a new film next month (May1 0).
The Working Girl star cut back on her film roles in the late 1990s to f ocus on her family, and has only been seen in a handful of minor TV parts and cameo appearances over the last few years.
Griffith was also sidelined by a prescription drug habit, but kicked he r addictions with a stint in rehab last year (09), and she is now prepari ng to relaunch her movie career.
She tells Britain’s Hello! magazine, "I want to get back to work. I sta rt shooting a movie next month, but I don’t want to say any more in case it falls through." Griffith’s husband Antonio Banderas adds, "She’s been in the background the last few years, because she’s been dedicated to another profession - her family - and she hasn’t been in front of the cameras. American actor/director PETER HASKELL has died, aged 75.
Haskell, perhaps best-known for starring in U.S. TV series Bracken’s Wo rld, died of natural causes at his Northridge, California home on 12 Apri l (10).
His acting career began on stage in the 1960s and he landed his first T V role in Death Valley Days in 1964.
Haskell was also featured on 1980s U.S. soap opera Ryan’s Hope, while h is additional TV credits include Lassie, Barnaby Jones, Vega$, Murder, Sh e Wrote and the 2009 series finale of ER.
Haskell only filmed two movies, appearing in the Child’s Play horror mo vies in the 1990s.
He is survived by two children.

Former MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS star WALTER JONES has had charges for driving under the influence (DUI) dismissed by an Alabama judge.
The 39-year-old actor, who played the original Black Power Ranger, plea ded not guilty to the accusation following his arrest in Huntsville, Alab ama in July, 2009 and he was let off from the charge after a court hearin g in the state on Wednesday (21Apr10).
A reason for the dismissal has yet to be revealed but Jones was allowed to walk away a free man after handing over $200 (=C2=A3125) to cover his court costs, reports TMZ.com.

Actress HEATHER LOCKLEAR has run into more car trouble after failing to a lert police about a collision with a road sign on Saturday (17Apr10).
The Melrose Place star was arrested and cited for a hit-and-run followi ng a police investigation into an incident in Westlake Village, Californi a early on Saturday morning.
Ventura County Sheriff=E2=80=99s Department officials responded to call s of a one-vehicle crash and discovered a car had mounted a curb and knoc ked over a ‘no parking’ sign.
The investigation led deputies to Locklear’s home nearby and they linke d damage to her BMW to the collision, according to TMZ.com.
Back in 2008, Locklear was arrested in Santa Barbara, California for al legedly driving under the influence of prescription medications. She plea ded no contest to a misdemeanour charge of reckless driving and was place d on three years informal probation.

One of the women at the centre of STEVEN SEAGAL’s ongoing sexual harassme nt scandal has been identified as the granddaughter of late soul legend R AY CHARLES.
Ex-model Kayden Nguyen is suing the Under Siege actor for $1 million (=C2 =A3666,000), claiming he used her "like a sex toy" and expected her to pl easure him sexually after landing a job as his executive assistant.
Two unnamed women have submitted sworn declarations to help Nguyen’s ca se - and now one of the alleged victims has been revealed as Charles’ gra nddaughter Blair Robinson, according to TMZ.com.
In Robinson’s declaration, she claims she first met Seagal at Ray Charl es’ 2004 funeral and took on a job as his assistant one month later.
Robinson alleges she quit after one day when Seagal made inappropriate sexual advances. She said the actor told her she was required to give him massages and he tried teaching her the proper method by massaging her.
She states: "It became clear to me that he wanted and expected sexual f avours as part of my job duties." Seagal’s lawyer, Marty Singer, has denied the accusations and claims Se agal has "no knowledge" of Robinson or the other woman who has come forwa rd with similar statements.
He added, "The declarations were clearly prepared by Nguyen’s lawyer to be leaked to the media to help bolster his client’s meritless claims." Seagal’s reality show, Steven Seagal Lawman, has been put on hold follo wing the allegations.

RIHANNA was admitted to hospital after a gig in Switzerland on Monday nig ht (19Apr10), according to local reports.
The Umbrella hitmaker finished her set at the Hallenstadion venue in Zu rich and was reportedly taken to the nearby Hirslanden private clinic to receive treatment for a mystery condition.

MELISSA AUF DER MAUR was overwhelmed when THE MISFITS legend GLENN DANZIG agreed to record a duet - because she has viewed him as a "mythical fath er figure" since she was a teenager.
The former Hole bassist was desperate to collaborate with Danzig after admiring his work for years - so she decided to send him a note, asking h im to collaborate on her track, Father’s Grave.
And she admits working with her idol was cathartic, because it helped h er deal with her lingering grief since her dad’s death in 1998.
Auf Der Maur tells Kerrang! magazine, "He’s always been this mythical f ather figure in my life. Ever since I was 17 years old I wanted to invite him into my world. Even though I’m a grown woman in my 30s now, I wrote him a letter. I explained the impact he had on my life, and months later he called and agreed to do it. There was no agent, no manager, no money - just a song, an invitation and an acceptance. He was the greatest guest of honour.
"In the letter… I explained my own need for healing and how I couldn’ t imagine anyone else in the world helping the young girl in me deal with the loss of her father."

JUSTIN BIEBER considered trying out for AMERICAN IDOL - but was signed up by record label bosses before he was old enough to audition.
The singer dreamed of competing in the hit TV talent show but was waiti ng until he turned 16, when he would be eligible to try out.
But his reality TV plans were pushed aside after his performances on Yo uTube.com were discovered by Island Records executives, who rushed to add him to their roster.
When asked if he would have competed on Idol, Bieber tells MTV.com, "Fo r sure! You know, we used to watch (Idol). Me and my mom used to watch it when I was little and we were like, ‘I could get on there, you know.’ "When I turned 16, I might have went and tried out, but this (YouTube) was faster."

"For me, it started as a good time. Then it turned into a bad time. The n I had to drink just to survive because I had a head full of wreckage…

LADY GAGA is getting a headstart on her next album - she’s recording trac ks in a mini studio on her tourbus.
The Poker Face hitmaker is currently travelling the world with her Mons ter Ball tour but she hasn’t stopped work on her next album, according to R&B singer Akon, who signed her to his KonLive label in 2007.
The pop star has reportedly written the majority of the follow-up to 20 09’s The Fame between concerts.
He tells Vibe magazine, "She records while she’s on the road. I’m flyin g out to Europe to work on some new records with her. Gaga’s just like me .. She has a tour bus with a studio in it. Some of the songs I’ve heard ar e going to be crazy. She’s getting bigger and better." And Akon admits he no longer interferes with Gaga’s work - because she’ s focused on the sound she wants.
He adds, "All I’m doing at the end of the day is listening to the track s Gaga has written and approving them for her album. She has producers th at she works with outside of myself and they are coming up with some incr edible records.
"But the beauty of it is she knows exactly what she wants. So it just m akes it easier for me."

METALLICA guitarist KIRK HAMMETT has been forced to face his fear of tour buses in the aftermath of Iceland’s volcanic eruption - the band is back on the road 23 years after their bassist was killed in a coach crash.
Cliff Burton died after the band’s vehicle skidded out of control and f lipped over in Sweden, and the rockers have refused to use tour buses whe n travelling between gigs since the tragic accident in 1986.
The musicians were forced back onto a bus this week (beg19Apr10) after heavy clouds of volcanic ash grounded flights across Europe and disrupted their current tour.
Hammett admits he is still nervous about travelling by road, but the si tuation has forced him to face his fears.
He says, "I just could not relax, thinking, ‘Wow, those buses have chan ged a lot since we travelled.’ They are so much more comfortable. You see , we did not use this means of transportation for more than two decades s ince the tragedy.
"When we boarded the bus again this week and had to travel overnight, I realised that those bad memories are still here. I still haven’t overcom e the fear of buses. But the show must go on."

Incarcerated rapper LIL WAYNE is facing a lawsuit from behind bars - a mu sic producer is suing him over royalty payments from his hit track LOLLIP OP.
The hip-hop star is currently serving a year-long sentence at New York’ s Rikers Island prison after pleading guilty to gun possession charges.
But Wayne, real name Dwayne Carter Jr., is facing more legal problems a fter Jim Jonsin, who co-wrote the star’s Grammy-winning Lollipop, filed a lawsuit alleging he has yet to receive any royalty payments for his work on the hit single.
The suit is seeking more than $500,000 (=C2=A3333,333), according to th e New York Post.
