BRITNEY SPEARS and COURTNEY LOVE look set to get the GLEE treatment - cre ator RYAN MURPHY wants to delve into the blondes’ back catalogue for the hit TV musical.
Following the success of the show’s tribute to Madonna, which aired in the U.S. on Tuesday (20Apr10), Murphy admits he’s considering tackling Sp ears in a future episode.
He tells EW.com, "I’m interested in the Britney Spears idea. I’ve alway s loved her. I’m entertaining it. I think young kids would like that." And Murphy also wants a shot at the Hole rocker, adding: "I actually ra n into Courtney Love the other day and talked to her. She’s interested. I would love to have the kids do a Courtney Love episode one day… The ke y is the songs in the catalogue have to have a certain degree of theatric ality." The Madonna special, which featured the Glee cast performing the pop su perstar’s songs, was a big hit among TV viewers - 13.5 million people tun ed in to see the episode.
Murphy reveals he’s also considering the music of Billy Joel and Led Ze ppelin for upcoming shows.

Late MC GURU’s close friend SOLAR has hit back at the rapper’s family ove r their doubts about a charity mentioned in his farewell letter.
The hip-hop legend, who had been in a coma since February (10), died in a New York medical facility after losing his cancer battle on Monday (19 Apr10).
The Gang Starr rapper’s pal and business partner Solar then released a note, believed to have been written by Guru on his deathbed, which outlin ed his final wishes and mentioned a foundation he hoped his fans would se nd donations to.
He wrote, "I have a nonprofit organisation called Each One Counts dedic ated to carrying on my charitable work on behalf of abused and disadvanta ged children from around the world and also to educate and research a cur e for this terrible disease that took my life." The family of Guru, real name Keith Elam, questioned the existence of t he foundation in a statement released after his death, admitting they had never heard of it.
But Solar maintains the charity is legitimate - and insists there are m any things his late friend didn’t tell his family about.
He tells MTV.com, "That’s an organisation started by Guru, myself and m y people. Hopefully it’ll grow to be a huge worldwide charitable organisa tion.
"There (are) a lot of things that Guru has done in his business and lif e that they don’t know. He doesn’t report to them. He never reported to t hem. Guru’s a full-grown man. He didn’t report to them everything he did.
They’re not his business mangers, and they didn’t have that type of rela tionship." Solar first butted heads with Guru’s relatives when his nephew Justin p osted a video on YouTube.com earlier this year (10), blaming Solar for ke eping them from their loved one.
But Solar claims he once had a friendly relationship with Guru’s family ..
He adds, "The funny thing is, it hasn’t been all this tension. It got w eird in the end. Up until the end, it didn’t exist, quite honestly. I tal ked to his father every Father’s Day; he came to this concert tribute in Boston. I visited his mother and father; they visited us. The tension rea lly became evident in February. It became the public thing it is when Jus tin put the video out. It’s just an untrue video, and it opened the door for a lot of other things. Up until that point, there was no tension betw een myself and the family at all."

Rocker BRET MICHAELS is reportedly awake and "in good spirits" after suff ering a brain haemorrhage on Thursday night (22Apr10).
The Poison frontman, 47, was recovering at home in Texas from surgery t o remove his appendix when a blinding headache prompted him to check into hospital, where doctors discovered he had suffered a subarachnoid haemor rhage.
He was put in intensive care, where he underwent tests to determine the cause of the bleeding.
He is now said to be in stable condition, "in good spirits" and "talkin g", according to a new TMZ.com report.
Michaels, who is currently shooting U.S. reality show Celebrity Apprent ice, has already scrapped a series of concerts following his appendectomy earlier this month (Apr10).
Celebrity Apprentice star Donald Trump said he was "deeply saddened", a dding: "He’s a great competitor and champion, and I hope he will be fine.

A representative for NAOMI CAMPBELL has dismissed reports the supermodel is preparing to marry her Russian billionaire lover.
Campbell’s boyfriend Vladimir Doronin was said to have confirmed weddin g plans with a Russian publication earlier this week (begs19Apr10), spark ing a media frenzy.

MIKE MYERS can’t wait to revive his AUSTIN POWERS alter ego for another m ovie - but he’s struggling to assemble his cast for production.
The funnyman announced last year (09) he had begun work on another sequ el following the success of the first three installments, which grossed $ 676 million (=C2=A3450 million) at the worldwide box office.
Myers insists the project is still "on track" but admits he has run int o problems recruiting stars for the next movie.
He tells MTV News, "Things are on track. It’s hard to keep a… team to gether and I’m very happy how insanely well it’s gone. Then it gets hard to get everybody all together. (But) it’s chugging along." Director Jay Roach confirmed last month (Mar10) he will be back to helm the next big screen outing.

Actor-turned-environmentalist PIERCE BROSNAN is urging U.S. government of ficials to take a stronger stand against whale hunting in international w aters.
The Irish actor has become passionate about preserving marine life sinc e narrating new Disneynature documentary Oceans, which explores the seas and what lies beneath them.
And he’s outraged after learning whale hunting has continued in Japan, Norway and Iceland despite a global whaling moratorium, which took effect in 1986.
The U.S. and other anti-whaling countries recently sought to strike a d eal to create an international monitoring system to ensure a steadily-dec lining whale hunt.
But Brosnan wants officials to take a no-tolerance policy: "They (U.S. government) seem to be in favour of allowing Japan and Norway to go out a nd hunt whales again. It means they can go out there and start killing wh ales. It’s in moratorium so it’s not determined how many they can kill. N ormally, there’s no justification for killing these creatures. Scientific ally, there’s no justification. So if you want to do something about stop ping the possible slaughter of whales, then you have to pick up the phone and call The White House." And the movie star hopes his new nature film will encourage youngsters to fight to save the world’s whales.
He adds, "That is why this film is so important to be seen. I think it will inspire many young people to do good things for the ocean… That is why I’m so passionate about this movie, so people can go see it and hope fully oppose this deal agreement.
"These creatures are in jeopardy once more."

LINDSAY LOHAN’s film career has taken a hit - the troubled star has been dropped from her new movie.
The actress was slated to star alongside Woody Harrelson and Giovanni R ibisi in upcoming adventure comedy The Other Side, about a graduate stude nt working on a deserted island.
But writer/director David Michaels confirms the Mean Girls star won’t b e moving forward with the project.
He tells TMZ.com, "Our team simply chose to move on from Lindsay and we ‘ll soon be announcing a replacement." Lohan’s last big-screen outing was the flop Labor Pains, which aired on U.S. TV in 2009 before going straight to DVD.
The news caps the end of a very bad week for Lohan - on Thursday (22Apr 10), her dad Michael led a raid on her apartment in a desperate bid to co nvince her to seek help for alleged substance abuse issues. She was then named a suspect in the theft of a luxury watch.

Gay star RICHARD CHAMBERLAIN has reportedly dumped his partner of 33 year s and has moved out of the Hawaiian dream home they shared.
The Thorn Birds star, 76, and manager/producer Martin Rabbett, who wed in 1984, have split over Chamberlain’s plans to dedicate the rest of his life to acting, according to U.S. publication the Globe.
A source tells the tabloid, "Martin served as Richard’s manager for yea rs, but getting older and being out in Hawaii for so long, he really didn ‘t have the connections to make a big push for Richard." Chamberlain reportedly moved back to Los Angeles after his new managers found him a collection of roles, including a thief in hit TV drama Lever age and a priest in a new independent movie.
But friends insist the actor will become very lonely without his longti me partner by his side.
One pal tells the Globe, "He thinks his work will make him complete, bu t it’s never been enough for him."

RANDY QUAID and his wife EVI are suing their former lawyer, accusing him of "gossip mongering" by allegedly running stories about them on his webs ite.
In a lawsuit, the Brokeback Mountain star and his wife claim they hired attorney Lloyd Braun to negotiate business deals for the actor.
The Quaids allege he became a close family friend but eventually betray ed them by posting photos and information about them on his entertainment website.
But a lawyer for Braun has dismissed their accusations, telling TMZ.com , "The alleged facts are palpably untrue. Lloyd Braun hasn’t represented these people for more than a decade and the files were turned over to oth er entertainment lawyers when Lloyd left the practice of law." Quaid and his wife are currently in the middle of a legal battle over a n unpaid $10,000 (=C2=A36,250) hotel bill, and have been accused of burgl ary and defrauding an innkeeper.
They have had a number of warrants issued for their arrest over past co urt no-shows.

A sexual harassment lawsuit against STEVEN SEAGAL has been put on hold af ter his lawyer requested the matter be heard by an arbitrator.
Ex-model Kayden Nguyen is suing the Under Siege actor for $1 million (=C2 =A3666,000), claiming he used her "like a sex toy" and expected her to pl easure him sexually after landing a job as his executive assistant.
But the scandal has stalled - top Hollywood lawyer Marty Singer has fil ed a motion to compel arbitration, arguing that Nguyen must have her clai ms heard by an arbitrator under the terms of her employment contract with Seagal.
Singer tells E! Online, "Last Friday, we filed the motion to stay the l awsuit. We filed an arbitration against Nguyen on Monday. Yesterday the c ourt granted our ex parte application to stay the case pending the hearin g on our motion to stay the case being heard in May." The Seagal sex scandal took an unusual turn this week after two women s ubmitted sworn declarations to boost Nguyen’s case - and one of the alleg ed victims was reportedly identified as the granddaughter of late soul le gend Ray Charles.

Actor CHARLIE SHEEN and his wife are living apart as they attempt to "wor k things out" following their Christmas Day (25Dec09) fight.
Sheen spent hours behind bars in Aspen, Colorado after allegedly attack ing Brooke Mueller during a row at their skiing retreat.
The couple has been estranged ever since, despite attempts to reconcile ..
Both Sheen and Mueller have also undergone rehab stints to tackle perso nal issues.
And now they’re living in separate homes.
A spokesman for the actor says, "Sometimes when couples are trying to w ork things out, it’s better if they don’t reside under the same roof… ( but) there are no plans for either party to end their marriage.
"(Mueller) needs to take a breather from Charlie. She is basically taki ng a break from the marriage."

WOODY ALLEN has confirmed he has cast France’s First Lady CARLA BRUNI in his latest movie.
The former model will join Owen Wilson, Rachel McAdams, Michael Sheen a nd Oscar winners Marion Cotillard and Kathy Bates in Midnight in Paris.

R&B veteran RON ISLEY has been released from jail after serving three yea rs for tax evasion - and he’s already making big comeback album plans.
The Isley Brothers star was sentenced to jail in September, 2006 after he was found guilty of evading federal income tax payments of over $3 mil lion (GBP1.87 million) between 1997 and 2002.
He appealed the decision on health grounds but lost, and started his se ntence in Indiana in 2007.
Isley admits he is "overjoyed" to be back home and can’t wait to hit th e studio with ideas he’s been dreaming up behind bars.
They include a gospel album, inspired by performances he gave fellow in mates and work he did in the prison chapel.
He tells Los Angeles DJ Steve Harvey, "(I was) talking to young people and crying with them and people that were gonna be in there some years an d that part really hurts. They (inmates) looked up to me "I was working at the chapel and I did gospel shows every week and that kept me up." Isley is also working on a new album for record label Def Jam, and he p romises it will be a star-studded affair.
He explains, "Some of the people that I’m working with on this album wi ll be Lauryn Hill, T.I., Rick Ross and Burt Bacharach." Isley’s last album, Here I Am, was a collaborative effort with songwrit er Bacharach.
The R&B icon will make his return to the stage on 8 May (10) when he pe rforms in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Rocker TOM PETTY is considering adding his name to a new Rock Band video game - but he’ll never allow his music to be used in commercials.
The I Won’t Back Down hitmaker admits he’s on board for fronting a new Rock Band, which enables gamers to play along with his hits.
He says, "If we want this music to be accepted by coming generations, i t might be a necessity." But Petty tells Parade magazine that doesn’t mean he’s about to relax h is rules on using his tunes in commercials: "A lot of younger groups want to be on commercials, but I don’t."

PRINCE is to make his first appearance in Denmark since 2002 when he head lines the country’s famous Roskilde festival on 4 July (10).
The gig will be part of a three-date tour in Europe - the superstar wil l also perform in France and Belgium.

British soul group SIMPLY RED are to split after a farewell pre-Christmas (10) tour.
Frontman Mick Hucknall announced plans to break up the band last year ( 09) and he has decided to say farewell to fans with a string of December dates in the U.K.
In a statement, the Stars singer says, "Welcome to the final year of 25 mind-blowing years. What an adventure it has been! "We want to share this closing anniversary with all the people who have enjoyed our sound throughout the years. Celebrate it and gently move on to the second half of a musical story. We all hope to see you at a show s omewhere soon." The final dates will begin in Belfast, Northern Ireland on 8 December ( 10) and conclude with two shows at the London O2 Arena.

GOSSIP GIRL star CHACE CRAWFORD was philosophical about his recent extend ed stay in London because there are "worse cities to be stranded in".
The actor was among the victims of the Iceland volcano eruption, which grounded 65,000 flights for five days in Europe.
Planes couldn’t take off or land in the continent - because of the thic k ash clouds pumped into the air by last week’s (15Apr10) Eyjafjallajokul l volcano blast.
And so Crawford enjoyed an unplanned break.
Now back in America, he says, "I was literally held hostage by volcano ash in London… They just wouldn’t let any planes out. I was supposed to be there ’til Saturday or Sunday.
"I didn’t care that much… My manager was working like a monkey on cra ck to get us out." Crawford was even presented with the idea of sailing home on the Queen Mary cruise ship.
