A collection of STAR TREK memorabilia once owned by the show’s late creat or GENE RODDENBERRY is set to be auctioned off this summer (Jun10).
The sale, which will be run by Julien’s Auctions, includes hand-annotat ed scripts, costumes from the show, and Roddenberry’s own studio pass.
The auction will also feature items donated by the series’ lead actor W illiam Shatner - a custom Harley-Davidson motorcycle, a Golden Globe nomi nation certificate and a plaque to commemorate his star on Hollywood’s Wa lk of Fame.
All proceeds from the sale will go to the creator’s charity, the Rodden berry Foundation, and Shatner admits he was happy to help out such a good cause.
He says, "I handed the motorcycle over and it was a part of my heart, b ut that’s only figuratively speaking." The sale will take place on 27 June at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

LINDSAY LOHAN has rejected her dad’s request to gather with her sister AL I for a serious discussion about their family problems.
Michael Lohan promised to abandon plans to apply for a conservatorship over Lindsay if she agreed to sit down with him, her little sister and hi s lawyer, Lisa Bloom, for a talk.
He also threatened to take legal action to protect 16-year-old Ali from Lindsay, giving the actress until Monday (26Apr10) to decide whether she wanted to meet his demands.
But the Mean Girls star has shunned his offer, telling GossipCop.com, " No, (I’m) not meeting with him." Michael’s ultimatum came after he led a police raid on his daughter’s h ome on Thursday (22Apr10). He alleges the star needs help for an alleged substance abuse issue, and that Ali, who is living with her sister, shoul d not be exposed to "nightlife" and "the people Lindsay is surrounding he rself with".

JAMES CAMERON’s epic blockbuster AVATAR has smashed another sales record - the film has been named North America’s fastest-selling home entertainm ent release of all time.
The picture sank Cameron’s previous box office hit Titanic to claim the title of the world’s highest-grossing movie ever by taking over $1.8 bil lion in ticket sales worldwide.
And now the home release looks set to match the movie’s box office succ ess - more than 6.7 million DVDs have been sold in North America alone si nce its release on 22 April (10).
Avatar has also sold more than 2.7 million Blu-rays.
The figures show the film has broken the sales record set by Batman mov ie The Dark Knight in 2008, and eclipsed the home release of both Twiligh t in 2009 and its follow-up The Twilight Saga: New Moon this year (10). (

Actress LAUREN HUTTON was stunned by the death of her ex-lover MALCOLM MC LAREN earlier this month (Apr10) - because the punk legend didn’t tell he r he was suffering from cancer.
The former Sex Pistols manager died aged 64 at a clinic in Switzerland on 8 April (10) after a battle with mesothelioma, a rare form of cancer o ften linked to asbestos exposure.
Hutton dated McLaren in the 1990s, and they remained friends up until t he end - but the 66 year old admits she was shocked to hear of his passin g, because he kept his cancer battle to himself.
She says, "I didn’t know anything about his cancer. When I saw him nine months ago, he never said anything about it. It was in New York, we went out dancing with his girlfriend and three little Asian girls. We have be en best friends for ever. It jerks your chain about what life is. How muc h time we’ve got… Right now I’m just missing Malcolm… Malcolm was a f antastically unsung hero. We sure had fun together. We had a great life." And Hutton admits she still regrets ending their relationship, adding, "I was so psychologically damaged form my childhood. I went to a shrink f or the first time in my life at 47 when Malcolm and I split up… I know that (McLaren was confused by their break-up), and it was a terrible thin g to do. I went to a shrink and figured out how to stand on my own feet. This man had been my earth and the ground I stood on."

The widower of British reality TV star JADE GOODY has been cleared of rap ing a teenager at his home.
Jack Tweed, 22, was arrested in September last year (09) and charged wi th two counts of rape after a 19-year-old woman claimed he attacked her a t his house in east London.
But Tweed walked free from Snaresbrook Crown Court, east London, on Mon day (26Apr10) after a jury took just 15 minutes to find him not guilty of both charges. He told the court the woman had consented to sex.
Tweed’s pal, 25-year-old Anthony Davis, was also cleared of rape.

British actress DENISE WELCH has stunned fans by coming clean about her c ocaine habit - the veteran star regularly took the drug on set while film ing her role in hit U.K. soap opera CORONATION STREET.
The 51-year-old actress became a household name in Britain with roles i n Spender opposite Jimmy Nail and Soldier Soldier, and later expanded her fan base when she was cast as Natalie Barnes in the popular drama serial in 1997.
She spent three years on the show, and has now revealed her work on Cor onation Street was blighted by a raging cocaine addiction.
Welch admits she started snorting the drug when she was in her 20s, but the problem escalated when she became depressed following the birth of h er first son in 1989.
She would take the drug in between scenes, and once even asked her deal er to come to the set and sell her more drugs to get her through the work ing day.
Writing in her new autobiography, Pulling Myself Together, Welch reveal s, "The risks I took were incredible. I was a total wreck… I’d reached a point where I felt taking cocaine was the only way I could survive. I w as suffering crippling depression and I’d made myself believe coke was th e only thing that could make me cope…
"I’d become the master of getting out of scenes. I’d always be saying s omething like ‘Don’t you think Natalie would be in the toilet? Or in the.
… living room?’ It was ridiculous, but this was a particularly awful day and I felt very low. When you suffer with depression it can just hit you like that at any time and I could feel myself slipping. I didn’t have an y drugs on me and I knew the only way I could possibly keep going and sta y on an even keel was to get some more." The actress managed to put her drug demons behind her when she fell pre gnant with her second child, Louis, who is now nine.

MICHAEL DOUGLAS has bolstered his long-running Lothario reputation by rev ealing he seduced two of his mother’s friends when he was just 16 years o ld.
The actor, who is now married to Catherine Zeta-Jones, was well known f or his romantic escapades in his youth and was reportedly admitted to reh ab in 1990 to be treated for sex addiction, although Douglas later descri bed the reports as inaccurate.
But the Basic Instinct star has now revealed he was sexually involved w ith two older women when he was a teenager, describing them as friends of his mother, Diana Dill.
The actor has refused to name the women for fear of upsetting his mum, insisting she never knew about the relationships.
He tells America’s Elle magazine, "There were a couple friends of my mo ther’s when I was 16 and they were 30.
"I wouldn’t want to get any of them in trouble Though they’re probably dead now." Douglas also recalls one incident while he was at university, when he t ook a girlfriend home, only to find another hiding in his closet.
He adds, "I remember one woman who’d been pursuing me, and I’d gone bac k home and was in bed with another lady. At an unbelievably inopportune m oment, she popped out of the closet. Let’s just say that took care of the rest of the night."

The singer hired out hip New York venue Hudson Terrace and gathered fri ends and family, including her producer boyfriend Swizz Beatz, for the ba sh in honour of her mum Teresa.

SUSAN BOYLE looks set to complete a stellar 2010 by performing for the Po pe at the end of the year (10) - Catholic Church officials have confirmed they plan to invite the Scottish spinster to sing for the pontiff when h e visits Britain.
Pope Benedict XVI is due to visit the U.K. in September (10) and religi ous officials in Boyle’s native Scotland want to include a performance fr om the singing sensation in the events they’re organising for him.
They’re requesting a meeting with Boyle, who shot to fame last year (09 ) as a contestant on Britain’s Got Talent, to convince her to perform at a public mass in Glasgow.
A spokesperson for the Catholic Church in Scotland says, "She certainly would be a great asset to the program on the day and we hope to be able to discuss the possibility of her participation soon."

RINGO STARR has defended his decision to sing about JOHN LENNON in a new track, insisting "it would have been weird" if anyone else had written ab out his late pal.
The Beatles drummer pays tribute to his late bandmate in his song Peace Dream, which references Lennon’s famous ‘Bed-In’ protests of 1969 when t he musician and wife Yoko Ono spent a week in bed in Amsterdam, the Nethe rlands and in Montreal, Canada to demonstrate against the Vietnam War.
A line in Starr’s song states: "Can you imagine this coming true/ It’s really up to all of us to do/ Just like John Lennon said/ In Amsterdam fr om his bed".
And Starr insists the lyric came naturally to him - because he was a fi rst-hand witness to Lennon’s campaign for world peace.
He says, "For me to write that was a normal thing to do. I knew the man .. And I really believe that if you, or anyone else, had written it, it wo uld’ve been weird. I was around when he did all that (protesting from bed ). Everybody thinks that the big thing was in Canada, but actually the fi rst one was in Amsterdam… So it’s just part of it for me, they’ve been my friends for so long."

U.S. music star DJ HIDEO has lost his battle with cancer at the age of 42 ..
The beatmixer, who opened for acts including Coolio and Xzibit througho ut his career, was diagnosed with colon cancer in early 2009, and kept fa ns and followers updated throughout his treatment with regular posts on h is website.
He passed away on Saturday (24Apr10) at Mission Hospital in Orange Coun ty, California.
DJ Hideo worked with several U.S. radio stations, DJ-ed in clubs across the country, and worked with a variety of high profile hip-hop acts.
Black Star rapper Talib Kweli was among the first to pay tribute. In a post on his Twitter.com page, he writes, "RIP to my homie DJ Hideo. You w ill be missed my man. One love."

JENNIFER LOPEZ’s ex-husband, OJANI NOA, is preparing to file for bankrupt cy - insisting recent legal battles with his former wife have drained his finances.
The singer/actress, who was married to Noa between 1997 and 1998, filed a $10 million (=C2=A36.25 million) lawsuit against her ex-husband in Nov ember 2009, in a bid to prevent him from releasing candid home video foot age from their time together.
Noa and his production partner Ed Meyer were blocked from distributing both the film and "confidential information" about Lopez, after a judge i ssued an injunction - and they lost a legal bid to overturn the ruling.
Noa admits the legal wrangling has crippled his finances, and he’s prep aring to file for bankruptcy.
He tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "The lawsuit put me thro ugh so much pain and frustration. I’m losing everything. I can’t go to wo rk because anytime I go to a casting, people are afraid to hire me becaus e of the judgment on my head. (They are) sceptical (because) of what I’m going through." And Lopez’s attorneys have already moved to ensure Noa doesn’t sell the footage to help pay his debts.
Lopez’s lawyer, John Lavely, says, "Both the preliminary injunction and the permanent injunction are still in full force and effect. Offering fo r sale or selling the videotape would constitute a wilful violation." (LR

CHARLIE SHEEN’s uncle has offered to replace the troubled actor if he dec ides to leave hit TV sitcom TWO AND A HALF MEN.
Sheen is said to be considering leaving the show following a tough star t to 2010 - an alleged altercation with his wife Brooke Mueller on Christ mas Day (25Dec10) left him facing criminal charges and he entered rehab i n February (10) to tackle personal issues.
But his uncle Joe Estevez, the younger brother of actor Martin Sheen, i s contemplating approaching the show’s creator, Chuck Lorre, about appear ing on the programme as its newest star.
Estevez’s spokesperson tells TMZ.com the actor wants Two and a Half Men to continue "for the good of the family", and suggests he could play the uncle of Sheen’s character.

STEPHEN LANG landed his role in AVATAR after punching a man in the head w hile auditioning for director JAMES CAMERON.
The actor was in the running for the role of Colonel Miles Quaritch and managed to secure his place in the biggest-grossing film of all time aft er attacking an actor standing next to him during his casting.
Lang tells the BBC, "He (Cameron) remembered that I had auditioned for him years before for Aliens - I didn’t get the part but something clicked for him and we started speaking and had a meeting.
"I went out to see him in Malibu and it was wonderful because it was ne ver put in terms of being an audition - it was sort of a work session. Ap parently at some point, I grabbed the young actor who was sort of off cam era and I smacked him in the head. He was a real buff guy! Jim said when I clocked him I got the part right there. So that’s my advice to young ac tors!"

MAD MEN star VINCENT KARTHEISER is so determined to live a simple life, h e hasn’t installed a toilet in his home.
The actor admits he was inundated with free gifts after landing the rol e of villainous Pete Campbell in the TV drama - and decided to clear out his one-bedroom Hollywood home to get rid of the clutter.
And the habit has become so extreme, Kartheiser now doesn’t own a car, a mirror or a lavatory.
He explains, "It started a couple of years ago. It was in response to g oing to these Golden Globe-type events and they just give you stuff. You don’t want it. You don’t use it. And then Mad Men started to become a suc cess on a popular level and people started sending me stuff, just boxes o f s**t. Gifts for every holiday, clothes.
"One day, I looked around and thought, ‘I don’t want this stuff, I didn ‘t ask for it.’ So I started giving it to friends or charity stores, or i f it is still in its box I might sell it for a hundred bucks. I liked it so I didn’t stop.
"I don’t have a toilet at the moment. My house is just a wooden box. I mean, I am planning to get a toilet at some point. But for now I have to go to the neighbours. I threw it all out."

LINDSAY LOHAN has allegedly been banned from a club in Los Angeles after throwing a drink over her ex-girlfriend SAMANTHA RONSON during a night ou t.
The troubled actress was partying at hot spot Trousdale in the early ho urs of Saturday morning (24Apr10) when she reportedly stormed up to her f ormer lover and threw her glass at her.
Lohan’s actions are said to have infuriated bosses at the venue, who al legedly asked her to leave, according to New York Post gossip column Page Six.
A source tells the publication, "Samantha was DJ-ing and went to sit wi th her friends when Lindsay stormed over and threw a glass at her head. G lass flew everywhere, and Samantha looked really shaken up. The club owne r asked Lindsay to leave and was overheard saying she’ll never come back.
" Ronson later mentioned the incident in a post on her Twitter.com page, writing: "Just got a glass thrown at my head… Hmmm - wonder who did it? ???"

Movie tough-guy VINNIE JONES has been pictured sporting bruises on his fa ce and neck - amid allegations fellow British actor TAMER HASSAN headbutt ed him during a brawl.
The two stars clashed at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles on Sa turday night (24Apr10), with Jones allegedly landing a punch on the Clash of the Titans actor.
Now it appears Jones didn’t emerge from the scuffle unscathed - a photo graph of the Snatch star in L.A. on Sunday (25Apr10) shows him with red m arks and scratches to his left cheek and the side of his neck.
The pair reportedly clashed after a long-running feud, which was sparke d by an argument between the two men late last year (09), boiled over.
A report in Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper alleges Jones lashed out w hen the actor offered to shake hands on Saturday - prompting Hassan to ai m a headbutt at Jones.
The brawl was eventually broken up by American Psycho actor Justin Ther oux.
A source tells the publication, "It was like something out of a wild we st film. Fists were flying and at one point the two of them were grapplin g on the floor. If they hadn’t been pulled apart God knows when it would have stopped. There was a lot of shouting and swearing. It was bizarre."
