MAYER & URBAN TEAM UP FOR WASHINGTON SHOW
JOHN MAYER and KEITH URBAN are teaming up for a one-night-only concert af ter realising their upcoming summer tours intersect in Washington.
The two singer-songwriters became friends after recording an episode of U.S. TV cable show Crossroads together in Nashville, Tennessee in Januar y (10) but their schedules have kept them from coming together for jam se ssions and concerts.
That’ll change this August (10) when Mayer and Urban team up for a show at The Gorge in Spokane.
Mayer tells WENN, "CMT Crossroads was the first time I performed with K eith but the creative rapport was there right away. I’m looking forward t o performing together again and I hope it’s one of many opportunities to work together in the future." Urban adds, "I had the best time playing with John on CMT Crossroads. T here’s a certain simpatico between us as guitar players that, I think, co mes from sharing the same desire to express the unwritten. Playing togeth er at The Gorge will be like adding a musical score to the most magnifice nt setting in a film."
