M.I.A. ASKS FANS TO NAME RECORD
British rapper M.I.A. is asking fans to help pick a title for her upcomin g album - she’s launched an online appeal for help naming the record.
The Paper Planes hitmaker has posted a computer screengrab of the album ’s tracklist on her Twitter.com page, along with a note urging devotees t o help her think of a name ahead of the record’s release date in June (10 ).
The message reads, "MIA tracklist for LP coming June ‘Yet Untitled’. Op en to suggestion." Producer Rusko, who worked on the songs with the hip-hop star, admits t hey previously considered calling the album Complications, because the re cording process was so long and difficult.
He says, "We wanted to call it Complications because it took so long. I t wasn’t a nightmare, but we’re both perfectionists. I’m like a mad perfe ctionist so the final versions we sent off were version eight and version nine. They’d all been changed and changed, but that’s good." (LR/WNTWT&W
