ALLEN TO PLAY BENICASSIM
LILY ALLEN appears to be delaying her impending retirement from pop music - the singer has signed up to perform at a Spanish festival this summer (10).
The Smile hitmaker announced plans to bow out of the music industry in March (10) but rapper Jay-Z managed to persuade her to open up for him at London’s Wireless festival in July (10) for her final stage performance.
But Allen is extending her time in the spotlight - she’s the latest nam e to be added to the line-up for the 2010 Benicassim festival in Spain.
Allen, who joins Kasabian, The Prodigy and Dizzee Rascal on the Benicas sim bill, pulled out of the annual Spanish event last year (09) after com ing down with gastroenteritis.
