PHARRELL LAUNCHES NEWS WEBSITE FOR TEENS
Rapper/producer PHARRELL WILLIAMS has created an entertainment website fo r teens to encourage young fans to read the news.
The hip-hop star, who has produced hits for Madonna, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, is using his celebrity contacts to generate content o n Kidult.com.
The online venture features reporting on politics, technology, health, fashion, science, business, environmental issues, sports, gaming and ente rtainment targeted at young adults.
The site’s staff also includes a team of young writers who will conduct interviews with celebrities and "cool job" professionals, such as singer Justin Bieber, Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am and actress Miranda Cosgro ve.
Williams says: "Kidult is a reliable news source that speaks directly t o teenagers. It also gives them a chance to get involved and speak to oth er young people about issues they care about. Kidult is the site I wish I had when I was in high school."
